Job summary

SWJ Technology is seeking an SAP Specialist - Plant Maintenance for a client in the automotive sector, based in Blythewood, SC. This onsite role focuses on planning, configuration, implementation, and support of the SAP PM platform to sustain site maintenance and production efficiency.

You will lead requirements sessions, manage work orders and maintenance processes, and collaborate with IT, automation, and engineering teams while traveling as needed. Immediate start preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or related technical field.
• 4+ years of professional maintenance experience in an industrial environment; automotive production preferred.
• Equivalent relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Demonstrated expertise in production and maintenance systems such as SAP or another maintenance system.

Responsibilities

• Handle SAP S/4HANA Plant Maintenance configurations for site needs.
• Support maintenance workflows: Corrective, Preventive, Emergency with workflow.
• Provide incidents, problems, and change request support for PM/QM/PS.
• Lead Sprint Planning, workshops, build, testing, and training for PM.
• Gather business/technical requirements to support PM configuration.
• Lead PM training and testing sessions; ensure PM readiness.
• End-to-end ownership for planning the SAP PM platform.
• Collaborate with automation, IT, maintainace, eng, and suppliers to improve processes.
• Define and manage critical PM reports for production/maintenance.
• Support work orders, notifications, capacity planning, and system processes.
• Manage PM objects: equipment, functional locations, BOMs, measuring points, work centers, task lists, maintenance plans.
• Support document management and spare parts inventory within PM.

We are currently seeking an SAP Specialist - Plant Maintenance for a client in the automotive industry, specializing in car manufacturing. This role is a contractor to direct hire position based in Blythewood, SC that requires onsite presence and occasional travel. PURPOSE:

The Specialist, SAP Plant Maintenance is responsible for the planning, configuration, implementation, support, and continuous improvement of the enterprise SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) platform. This role supports overall site maintenance needs and works closely with maintenance, IT, automation, industrial engineering, and other internal stakeholders to ensure effective maintenance processes and operational efficiency.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Handle new design configurations in SAP S/4HANA for Plant Maintenance, focusing on overall site maintenance needs.
• Support the implementation of maintenance processes, including:
  • Corrective Maintenance
  • Preventive Maintenance
  • Emergency Maintenance with workflow
  • Overhead Labor
  • Refurbishment Management
  • Project Order Maintenance
  • Service Order Management with Time and Materials Billing
• Provide support for incidents, problems, and change requests related to Plant Maintenance, Quality Maintenance, and Project Systems.
• Lead Sprint Planning, Sprint Workshops, Build, Testing, and Training for the Plant Maintenance workstream.
• Lead initial requirements sessions and gather business and technical requirements to support Plant Maintenance configuration.
• Support and conduct training and lead testing sessions for Plant Maintenance.
• Provide end-to-end business responsibility for planning the enterprise SAP PM platform.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including automation, maintenance, IT, and industrial engineering, as well as external suppliers, to identify technological and business needs, troubleshoot issues, and drive continuous improvement.
• Define, realize, and manage reports critical to production and maintenance operations.
• Support commissioning and acceptance activities, including availability tests, training, open-point tracking, defect processing, final acceptance, and lessons learned.
• Support work order management, work notification management, capacity planning and scheduling, and maintenance-related system processes.
• Support technical objects including equipment, functional locations, bills of materials, measuring points, work centers, task lists, and maintenance plans.
• Support document management and attachments within the maintenance system.
• Support spare parts planning and inventory management.
• Support preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, analytics, and mobility solutions such as Asset Manager and Work Manager.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Must be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practices.

FLSA STATUS/WORKING SCHEDULE:

• Location:Blythewood, SC
• Schedule:Day shift, 40h/w, 4-5 days per week in the office required, weekend as required
• Travel:Domestic and occasional international travel may be required
