Position Overview

The SAP Senior Forecasting and Planning Business Analyst will work on SAP systems design, configuration, upgrades, and improvements for SAP technology platforms. As a primary support contact for SAP application end-users, this role involves identifying and resolving issues in forecasting (IBP) and other application areas, performing impact analysis, building, testing, and implementing system changes, and mentoring junior analysts. This position can be based in Madison, WI or Redwood City, CA, with relocation assistance provided.

Essential Duties

Include, but are not limited to:

• Designing and configuring business systems, and managing upgrades and improvements for applications of low to medium complexity.
• Developing solutions for complex problems, ensuring thorough and practical outcomes.
• Configuring assigned applications independently.
• Identifying and resolving issues impacting application areas and other teams.
• Creating and updating system documentation.
• Estimating and leading enhancement or support requests.
• Guiding workflow design, system testing, and technical analysis.
• Collaborating with business stakeholders and software vendors to align system changes with business needs.
• Understanding operational needs and proactively improving workflows through technology.
• Developing documentation, training end users, and providing support for production issues.
• Leading project reviews, delegating activities, and acting as a delegate for leadership in incident resolution.
• Mentoring peers, leading process improvements, and demonstrating ownership and accountability.
• Communicating clearly with stakeholders, persevering through challenges, and adapting to changing needs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or high school diploma/GED with 12 years of relevant experience.
• 5+ years of experience in developing or configuring technology solutions.
• Knowledge of industry best practices, strong computer skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with business systems in life sciences, healthcare, or related industries.
• Technical support and configuration experience with SAP systems, including IBP, S/4 HANA, SAP cloud solutions, and Fiori.
• Understanding of SAP Security architecture.
