Job summary

Deloitte Consulting is seeking a SAP SD Senior Consultant to serve as the primary onshore SAP SD contact for business users, coordinating support priorities and issue resolution within the order-to-cash process. You will own incidents, perform root cause analysis, translate requirements into functional specifications, and collaborate with ABAP developers, Finance, MM, and Basis teams to ensure successful production deployments.

Strong communication and leadership are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on SAP SD configuration and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience supporting SAP production environments through managed services or Operate/Sustain engagements.
• Solid understanding of order-to-cash processes, master data, pricing, delivery processing, billing, returns, and credit/debit memo processing.
• Experience investigating interface issues, including EDI/IDoc failures, and collaborating with integration teams.
• Ability to develop functional specifications, assess business impact, and coordinate testing and controlled releases.
• Familiarity with incident, problem, and change management processes and SLA-based service delivery.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills, with the ability to independently lead an SAP SD support workstream.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary onshore SAP SD contact for business users, coordinating support priorities and issue resolution.
• Provide production support across sales order processing, pricing, delivery, shipping, and billing within the SAP order-to-cash process.
• Own incidents and service requests through resolution, meeting agreed service levels and communicating status and recovery actions.
• Perform root cause analysis, identify recurring issues, and implement preventive actions to improve stability.
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications and collaborate with ABAP developers on enhancements and interfaces.
• Coordinate with Finance, Materials Management, warehouse, integration, and Basis teams to resolve cross-module issues.
• Execute functional and regression testing, support user acceptance testing, and validate changes before production deployment.
• Maintain support documentation and coordinate handoffs across onshore and offshore teams.
• Identify opportunities to reduce incidents and improve process efficiency.

Work you’ll do

The SAP SD Sr. Consultant will serve as the primary onshore SAP SD contact for business users, coordinating support priorities, requirements, and issue resolution. Provide production support across sales order processing, pricing, delivery, shipping, and billing within the SAP order-to-cash process. Own incidents and service requests through resolution, meeting agreed service levels and communicating status, business impact, and recovery actions. Perform root cause analysis, identify recurring issues, and implement preventive actions to improve application stability. Translate business requirements into functional specifications and collaborate with ABAP developers on enhancements, interfaces, and break fixes. Coordinate with Finance, Materials Management, warehouse, integration, and Basis teams to resolve issues spanning multiple systems or modules. Execute functional and regression testing, support user acceptance testing, and validate changes following production deployment. Maintain support documentation, knowledge articles, and operating procedures; coordinate handoffs across onshore and offshore teams. Identify opportunities to reduce recurring incidents, improve support efficiency, and strengthen business processes. The successful candidate would possess these skills:

Required Qualifications

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $121,000 - $145,000.
