Job summary

Cbase Inc. in the United States seeks an experienced SAP SD Order Management Specialist to provide functional support and continuous improvement of end-to-end OTC processes in SAP.

You will translate business requirements into SAP solutions and collaborate with stakeholders and IT partners to ensure reliable order processing. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 functional support for SAP SD Order Management incidents and service requests through Jira Service Management (JSM), ensuring timely resolution within defined SLAs.
• Configure and maintain SAP SD order management functionalities, including sales document types, item categories, schedule line categories, copy controls, availability checks (ATP), credit management, and output determination.
• Work with stakeholders to understand requirements, conduct fit-gap analysis, and translate needs into functional specs and SAP solutions.
• Perform root-cause analysis of recurring production issues and implement corrective and preventive solutions.
• Support SAP SD enhancements through design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-production hypercare.
• Develop and execute unit, SIT, and regression tests; provide support during UAT.
• Serve as the SAP SD Order Management functional lead for projects, including design, build, cutover, and hypercare.
• Collaborate with SAP Pricing, MM, LE, FI-AR, and EDI/IDoc teams to resolve integration issues.
• Troubleshoot order processing failures using SAP transactions, tables, logs, and debugging info.
• Maintain functional documentation, SOPs, configuration docs, and user guides.
• Ensure adherence to ITIL processes and SOX controls.

The role will focus on resolving complex order management issues, translating business requirements into effective SAP solutions, and delivering functional enhancements across the order management lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will possess strong hands‑on expertise in SAP SD configuration, troubleshooting, and cross‑functional integration, along with the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and IT partners to ensure efficient and reliable order processing.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 functional support for SAP SD Order Management incidents and service requests through Jira Service Management (JSM), ensuring timely resolution within defined SLAs.
• Configure and maintain SAP SD order management functionalities, including sales document types, item categories, schedule line categories, copy controls, availability checks (ATP), credit management, and output determination.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, conduct fit‑gap analysis, and translate business needs into functional specifications and SAP solutions.
• Perform detailed root‑cause analysis of recurring production issues and implement sustainable corrective and preventive solutions.
• Support SAP SD enhancements throughout the solution lifecycle, including functional design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post‑production hypercare.
• Develop and execute unit, System Integration Testing (SIT), and regression test scenarios, and provide functional support during User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Serve as the SAP SD Order Management functional lead for assigned projects, contributing to solution design, build, cutover planning, and hypercare activities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across SAP Pricing, Materials Management (MM), Logistics Execution (LE), Finance (FI‑AR), and EDI/IDoc to resolve integration‑related issues.
• Troubleshoot order processing failures using SAP transactions, tables, application logs, and relevant technical debugging information.
• Maintain functional documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), configuration documents, and user guides.
• Ensure adherence to ITIL‑based incident, problem, and change management processes, as well as applicable SOX controls and audit requirements.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of hands‑on experience in SAP SD functional consulting, support, and configuration, with a strong focus on Order Management.
• In‑depth understanding of end‑to‑end Order to Cash (OTC) processes, including sales order entry, order processing, delivery management, and billing.
• Strong hands‑on configuration experience with:
• Sales document types and item categories.
• Schedule line categories and determination.
• Copy control and document flow.
• Availability to Promise (ATP) and credit checks.
• Output determination and order processing controls.
• Working knowledge of SAP SD integration with Pricing, MM, LE, and FI‑AR.
• Experience supporting EDI/IDoc‑based order processing, including troubleshooting inbound and outbound interface failures.
• Strong SAP troubleshooting and analytical skills, including familiarity with relevant transactions, tables, application logs, and error analysis.
• Proven experience in preparing functional specifications, configuration documents, test scripts, and end‑user documentation.
• Hands‑on experience with ITIL‑based incident, problem, and change management processes.
• Experience working with Jira Service Management (JSM) or similar ITSM platforms.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem‑solving, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in full‑lifecycle SAP implementation projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
• Prior experience in life sciences, medical devices, healthcare, or other regulated industry environments.
• SAP Certified Associate – Sales or equivalent SAP SD certification.
• Understanding of SOX compliance, audit controls, and documentation standards in enterprise SAP environments.
• Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally as required.
• Strong functional expertise in SAP SD Order Management and OTC processes.
• Ability to independently manage complex production issues and drive permanent resolution.
