Role Overview

SAP Functional Team Lead Consultant

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT: The South Carolina Enterprise Information System (SCEIS) is seeking a Sales and Distribution (SD) Senior Consultant – Project Lead to collaborate with SCEIS and state agencies. The goal is to develop the functionality of the SAP Sales and Distribution module, focusing on maintaining and enhancing the converted legacy billing and work order system within SAP.

Daily Duties / Responsibilities

• Facilitate blueprinting and design sessions.
• Convey SAP capabilities within the SAP module.
• Collaborate with SCEIS MM team, agency SMEs, and other module consultants.
• Create functional specification requirements.
• Configure SAP SD in SCEIS to meet client business needs, including integration with FI, MM, Plant Maintenance, and other modules.
• Conduct knowledge transfer and ensure process documentation.
• Manage testing and rollout activities.
• Assist with production support.

Required Skills (in order of importance)

• Comprehensive understanding of SD and its relationship to MM, FI, and PM modules.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to work well in cross-functional teams.
• 10-12 years of experience in SD and related modules, with previous lead experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in the public sector.

Educational/Certification Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or equivalent experience.
