Jobot Consulting seeks a senior SAP S/4HANA CO Design Lead to architect finance and controlling design in a 100% remote consulting engagement with occasional travel.

This role is design-focused (not implementation), defining cost models and writing configuration-level specs for a separate implementation partner, leveraging an ECC backbone.

Job Details

Our client, a process manufacturing organization, is seeking a senior SAP S/4HANA CO Design Lead to architect its finance and controlling design. This is a design role, not an implementation role. You will define the cost model and write configuration-level specifications that a separate implementation partner will build from. The design must work alongside an existing ECC manufacturing environment with inherited configuration.

Salary: $125 - $175 per hour

What You Will Do

• Lead the design of S/4HANA FI/CO architecture, including cost object structure, overhead pools and allocation design, activity types, and rate design
• Design product costing and Material Ledger for process manufacturing, including process orders, batch costing, actual costing, and idle capacity treatment
• Design Margin Analysis and percent-of-completion revenue recognition for project-based work
• Build finance structures around existing ECC configuration, and clearly explain the trade-offs to finance and IT leadership
• Write detailed configuration-level specifications for handoff to a separate implementation team

What We Are Looking For

• Proven S/4HANA CO design lead experience in process manufacturing, with design engagements clearly distinct from implementation work
• Deep expertise in product costing and Material Ledger, with a clear point of view on actual costing and idle capacity
• Experience designing Margin Analysis, project-based cost collection, and percent-of-completion revenue recognition
• A track record of designing finance around inherited ECC configuration and managing the resulting constraints
• Configuration-level specs written for a separate implementer to build from, with a reference who can confirm it
