Job summary

Next Ventures is seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Solution Architect and Transformation Lead to oversee a global Bluefield migration starting in September. You will chair architecture governance, drive end-to-end design and ensure a clean-core S/4HANA architecture across multiple waves and regions.

Qualifications

• 15+ years SAP delivery experience.
• 5+ years operating as Lead SAP Solution Architect or Enterprise Architect.

• Demonstrable experience delivering Bluefield or Selective Data Transition programmes.
• Deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA, SAP BTP, SAP Integration Suite, SAP Fiori, SAP Analytics and SAP Master Data Governance.
• Experience leading global template and multi-country rollout programmes.
• Strong understanding of business processes across Finance, Procurement, Manufacturing, Logistics, Supply Chain, Sales and Customer Service.
• Experience operating within complex system landscapes and multi-vendor delivery environments.

Our client in the manufacturing space, are currently looking for a S/4HANA solution architect and transformation Lead, to join a Blulefield project, starting at the beginning of September.

Role Summary

The SAP Solution Architect is accountable for the end-to-end solution architecture, design governance and programme leadership of a global SAP S/4HANA Bluefield transformation. The role combines deep SAP functional and technical architecture expertise with programme delivery leadership to drive the successful migration from legacy ERP environments to a modern, standardised S/4HANA platform. The individual will act as the primary architecture authority across business, application, integration, data, security and technology workstreams while leading delivery teams through design, build, testing, deployment, cutover and hypercare. The role requires balancing business transformation objectives with delivery pragmatism, ensuring the programme achieves business value whilst maintaining a clean-core S/4HANA architecture.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall architectural leadership for a multi-country, multi-wave S/4HANA transformation programme.
• Lead global template governance and ensure consistency across all deployment waves.
• Drive programme planning, mobilisation, risk management and decision-making forums.
• Collaborate with Executive Sponsors, Programme Directors and Business Process Owners to align business outcomes with solution design.
• Manage architecture review boards and design authorities.
• Support Steering Committees with architecture, delivery, risk and strategic recommendations.

Solution Architecture

• Define and own the end-to-end SAP solution architecture across Finance, Procurement, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales & Distribution, Warehouse Management, SAP BTP, Analytics and Reporting.
• Establish and govern a clean-core architecture strategy.
• Define solution standards, design principles, integration patterns and technology roadmaps.
• Lead Fit-to-Standard and Delta Design workshops.
• Ensure alignment with SAP best practice and SAP Activate methodologies.

Bluefield Transformation Leadership

• Define and govern the Bluefield migration strategy including selective data transition, historical data requirements, organisational restructuring and harmonisation of global processes.
• Assess legacy custom developments and determine retire, remediate, rebuild or replace strategies.
• Lead business process harmonisation activities whilst protecting critical business capabilities.
• Drive adoption of standard SAP processes wherever possible.

Data & Integration Architecture

• Define enterprise data migration and master data strategies.
• Govern SAP MDG, data quality and data ownership models.
• Lead integration architecture across SAP and non-SAP applications.
• Ensure consistency across middleware, API, cloud and legacy integrations.
• Establish principles for real-time and batch integration approaches.

Deployment & Cutover

• Support deployment planning for multiple global rollout waves.
• Provide architectural oversight during testing, dress rehearsals and cutover activities.
• Lead architecture support during SIT, UAT, performance testing, cutover and hypercare.
• Resolve complex cross-functional design and deployment issues.

Stakeholder Management

• Act as the trusted advisor to senior client executives and programme sponsors.
• Present solution direction to executive-level governance boards.
• Influence business and IT leadership to drive standardisation and benefits realisation.
• Build strong relationships across SAP, implementation partners and customer leadership teams.

Essential Experience

• 15+ years SAP delivery experience.
