Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in Charlotte, NC is seeking a senior SAP Manufacturing expert to lead end-to-end S/4HANA Manufacturing and Production Planning initiatives. You will design, configure, test, deploy, and stabilize manufacturing solutions for complex make-to-stock, make-to-order, and engineer-to-order scenarios.

Role requires extensive experience with batch management, PP/DS, and integration across MM/SD/EWM/QM.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of SAP Manufacturing experience with PP and execution
• Minimum three full-cycle SAP implementations including at least two SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing projects
• Strong knowledge of Discrete, Process, Repetitive, and batch-managed production
• Hands-on configuration of material masters, BOMs, work centers, routings, and master recipes
• Experience with demand management, MRP Live, orders, and batch traceability
• Integration with MM, SD, EWM, QM, PM/EAM, Product Costing, TM, and MES solutions
• Preparation of functional specs, test scenarios, and cutover plans
• Leadership of onshore/offshore teams and cross-functional collaboration

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing and Production Planning solution design, configuration, testing, deployment and stabilization
• Facilitate fit-to-standard workshops and translate business requirements into scalable global manufacturing designs
• Design Discrete Manufacturing processes including make-to-stock, make-to-order, engineer-to-order, and production orders
• Design Process Manufacturing processes including master recipes, resources, and batch execution
• Design Repetitive Manufacturing processes and rate-based planning
• Define planning processes for demand management, MRP Live, scheduling, and capacity evaluation
• Lead PP/DS for finite scheduling, setup optimization, and planner alerts
• Define Batch Management, shelf-life, genealogy, and traceability requirements across manufacturing
• Own cross-functional integration with MM/SD/EWM/QM/PM/EAM/Costing/TM and shop-floor systems
• Guide MES, SCADA, PLC and equipment integration with Digital Manufacturing teams
• Prepare functional specs, test scenarios, security requirements, and cutover plans
• Lead defect resolution and production cutover
• Coordinate onshore and offshore teams and manage risks
• Challenge unnecessary customizations and promote standard SAP capabilities

Must Have Technical/Functional Skills

• 10+ years of SAP Manufacturing experience, including 7+ years in SAP Production Planning (PP) and execution processes.
• Minimum three full-cycle SAP implementations, including at least two SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing implementations.
• Strong expertise in Discrete Manufacturing, Process Manufacturing, Repetitive Manufacturing, and batch-managed production processes.
• Hands-on configuration experience with material masters, BOMs, work centers/resources, routings, master recipes, production versions, and PRTs.
• Expertise in demand management, MRP Live, production and process orders, repetitive manufacturing, capacity planning, confirmations, goods movements, and settlement integration.
• Strong experience with Batch Management, classification, batch determination, shelf-life management, and batch traceability.
• Experience with PP/DS for detailed scheduling, finite capacity planning, heuristics, setup optimization, and alert monitoring.
• Integration experience with MM, SD, EWM, QM, PM/EAM, Product Costing, TM, and SAP Digital Manufacturing or third-party MES.
• Experience supporting data migration, interfaces, functional specifications, SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live, and hypercare.
• Strong knowledge of SAP Fiori, SAP Activate, global template deployment, and manufacturing process standardization.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing and Production Planning solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and stabilization for the Helix transformation program.
• Facilitate fit-to-standard workshops and translate business requirements into scalable global manufacturing process designs.
• Design Discrete Manufacturing processes covering make-to-stock, make-to-order, engineer-to-order, production orders, confirmations, backflushing, and component staging.
• Design Process Manufacturing processes covering master recipes, resources, process orders, phases, process instructions, co-products, by-products, and batch execution.
• Design Repetitive Manufacturing processes including rate-based planning, production versions, reporting points, planned orders, and material staging.
• Define planning processes for demand management, MRP Live, lot sizing, scheduling, capacity evaluation, production leveling, and exception management.
• Lead PP/DS solution design for finite scheduling, sequencing, setup optimization, heuristics, pegging, and planner alerts.
• Define Batch Management, classification, batch determination, shelf-life, genealogy, and traceability requirements across manufacturing and quality processes.
• Own cross-functional integration with MM, SD, EWM, QM, PM/EAM, Product Costing, TM, SAP Digital Manufacturing, and shop-floor systems.
• Guide MES, SCADA, PLC, and equipment integration requirements in collaboration with Digital Manufacturing, BTP, and integration teams.
• Prepare functional specifications, test scenarios, security requirements, conversion rules, cutover plans, operating procedures, and training inputs.
• Lead defect resolution, deployment readiness, mock cutovers, production cutover, hypercare, and transition to support.
• Coordinate onshore and offshore teams, manage dependencies and risks, and communicate decisions and progress to business and program stakeholders.
• Proactively challenge unnecessary customizations and guide stakeholders toward standard, sustainable SAP manufacturing capabilities.

• Ability to lead global design workshops and drive alignment across manufacturing plants, business teams, and technology workstreams.

Salary Range: $160,000 - $180,000 a year
