Job summary

Hitachi ASTEMO Americas, Inc. is seeking an experienced SAP Development Manager to lead SAP S/4HANA development across multiple site implementations. You will oversee a mix of internal and partner resources, ensuring alignment with SAP best practices and business needs.

The role includes coaching a regional development team and maintaining technical governance. The ideal candidate has strong SAP S/4HANA, ABAP, and HANA skills, plus experience coordinating global and regional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in SAP development.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Global SAP Development Lead for governance, decisions, and status.
• Work with regional leads to maintain harmonization across the landscape.
• Coordinate local developers and SAP development efforts.
• Support SAP functionalities according to project needs and specs.
• Train, coach, and manage a team of IT professionals in SAP development.
• Address business requirements using SAP best practices and technical standards.
• Create and validate technical documentation for SAP developments.
• Provide expertise in SAP HANA architecture and data modeling.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy SAP solutions using ABAP, HANA, Fiori/UI5, BTP, RAP, CAP, OData.
• Utilize Solution Manager and CHARM for change management.
• Estimate technical effort for SAP tasks.
• Perform code reviews and enforce coding standards.
• Collaborate with external suppliers and governance teams.
