Job summary

JS Consulting is seeking a skilled SAP S/4HANA Advanced Variant Configuration (AVC) Architect for a remote contract role. This position requires extensive experience in engineer-to-order and make-to-order environments, especially within the custom cabinetry industry. The architect will be responsible for leading design efforts, enhancing existing models, and collaborating with various stakeholders to develop robust AVC solutions. This is an 8-16 month contract role that may involve occasional travel to Texas.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in SAP S/4HANA and AVC architecture is required.
• Experience in cabinetry and furniture ETO/MTO manufacturing is a must.
• Familiarity with SAP modeling tools and integrations is preferred.

We have an exciting remote contract opportunity for a skilled SAP S/4HANA Advanced Variant Configuration (AVC) Architect with strong experience in engineer-to-order (ETO) and make-to-order (MTO) environments, especially within the custom cabinetry industry.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a hands-on SAP AVC Architect to lead design and implementation efforts for configurable product models. You'll be working with stakeholders across Engineering, Sales, and IT to develop robust AVC solutions aligned with highly customizable product lines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand existing AVC model - do not change it, enhance it.
• Build scalable, user-friendly product configurators.
• Migrate VC data structures to AVC.
• Define BOMs, configuration profiles, dependencies, and constraints.
• Manage engineering change requests and data integrity.
• Provide expert-level guidance and support on SAP AVC.

Requirements:

• Deep SAP S/4HANA and AVC experience (AVC modeling, logic, and architecture)
• Experience in ETO/MTO manufacturing (cabinetry, furniture, millwork)
• Strong understanding of VC-to-AVC migration
• Familiar with SAP Activate, SAP Fiori, CPQ, and BOM management
• Excellent communication, leadership, and troubleshooting skills
