Job summary

NTT DATA, Inc. seeks an experienced SAP Project Manager to join our Milwaukee-based team. You will drive SAP S/4HANA implementation projects from planning through go-live, coordinating business and IT stakeholders across multiple functions.

The role requires strong program management, governance, and agile delivery expertise, with the ability to guide teams through SIT/UAT, cutover, and post-go-live support in a fast-paced, global delivery environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP ECC implementation.
• 4 full lifecycle SAP implementations with end-to-end delivery.
• 4+ years managing SAP implementation projects as a Project Manager or Delivery Lead.
• 2 years leading cross-functional and geographically distributed project teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of SAP S/4HANA implementation projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Develop and maintain detailed SAP S/4HANA implementation plans, project schedules, and resource allocation plans.
• Facilitate daily stand-up meetings and governance sessions to monitor progress, resolve risks, and track deliverables.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across business and IT for all phases of SAP implementation.
• Define and implement project management standards, templates, governance processes, and best practices.
• Provide guidance and training on project management methodologies and SAP processes.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to map current-state to future-state processes and align objectives.
• Plan and coordinate SIT, UAT, and defect resolution activities with business and technical teams.
• Lead cutover planning, go-live prep, deployment activities, and post-go-live support.
• Identify, manage, and communicate risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigations to customers and executives.
• Provide regular status updates and executive reporting with customer leadership and delivery teams.
• Ensure projects follow SAP Activate, Agile/Scrum, and governance standards.

Job Description – SAP Project Manager

Day to Day Job Duties: (What this person will do on a daily/weekly basis)

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of SAP S/4HANA implementation projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Develop and maintain detailed SAP S/4HANA implementation plans, project schedules, and resource allocation plans.
• Facilitate daily stand-up meetings and project governance sessions to monitor implementation progress, resolve risks, and track deliverables.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across business and IT to support all phases of SAP implementation, including planning, design, build, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
• Define and implement project management standards, templates, governance processes, and best practices.
• Provide guidance and training to project team members on project management methodologies, tools, and SAP implementation processes.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand current-state processes, define future-state solutions, and align project objectives with business goals.
• Plan and coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and defect resolution activities with business and technical teams.
• Lead cutover planning, go-live preparation, deployment activities, and post-go-live support, ensuring smooth business transition.
• Identify, manage, and communicate project risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation plans to customers and executive stakeholders.
• Work closely with customer leadership and NTT DATA delivery teams to provide regular project status updates and executive reporting.
• Ensure projects are executed following SAP Activate methodology, Agile/Scrum practices, and organizational governance standards.

Basic Qualifications: (What are the skills required for this job with minimum years of experience on each)

• Minimum 6+ years of experience in SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP ECC implementation, configuration, or testing.
• Minimum 4 full lifecycle SAP implementation projects with end-to-end delivery experience.
• Minimum 4+ experience managing SAP implementation projects as a Project Manager or Delivery Lead.
• Minimum 2 years of experience leading cross-functional and geographically distributed project teams.

Travel

• Willingness to travel based on client and project requirements.

Nice to Have (But not a must)

• SAP Project Management certification or PMP certification.
• Scrum Master or Agile certification.
• Experience managing SAP S/4HANA Cloud implementation projects.
• Experience with SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA migration programs.
• Experience working in multilingual and multicultural environments.
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Experience working in global delivery models with offshore and onsite teams.
• Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA implementation lifecycle, project governance, and deployment methodologies.
• Strong understanding of SAP Activate methodology and Agile frameworks, including Scrum.
• Experience planning and managing System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), cutover, and go-live activities.
• Strong stakeholder management, risk management, issue management, and project reporting skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership, business users, and technical teams.
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical implementation strategies.
• Experience working in global delivery environments supporting international clients.
