Job summary

Genpact seeks an experienced SAP Program Director to lead a multi-million-dollar S/4HANA transformation across global regions. You will own the program from discovery through template design to multi-wave deployment, managing budgets, scope, and executive relationships with CIO/CFO/COO.

You will lead a matrix of program managers and solution architects, oversee data migration and cutover, ensure governance, and drive AI-enabled delivery levers to accelerate value realization.

Qualifications

Role Summary

Act as the single accountable leader - effectively the partner-in-charge - for a multi-million-dollar global SAP S/4HANA transformation. Own the program from discovery and assessment through global template and SDT solution design to multi-wave deployment, migrating multiple heterogeneous ERPs onto S/4HANA. Lead a team of program managers and solution architects, own the C-level relationship, and carry accountability for cost, quality and schedule across onsite and offshore delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the full program lifecycle end to end: discovery and assessment, business case, global solution and template design, and multi-country/multi-wave deployment through go-live and hypercare.
• Lead the discovery and assessment phase — current-state landscape analysis, transition strategy (greenfield / brownfield / bluefield-SDT), roadmap, value case and executive recommendation.
• Build and sustain trusted relationships with C-level leadership — CIO, CFO, COO and business unit heads; act as the executive face of delivery and the primary escalation point.
• Lead and develop a team of program managers, delivery leads and solution architects; set the operating model, RACI and governance across workstreams.
• Direct the design of the global template and SDT/selective data transition solution, ensuring template integrity while governing approved localizations through a design authority.
• Own migration of multiple legacy and non-SAP ERPs onto S/4HANA — landscape rationalization, wave planning, data strategy, sequencing and cutover across regions.
• Own solutioning and effort estimation for the program and its change orders — resource pyramids, delivery models, pricing constructs and assumptions/risk contingency.
• Carry P&L accountability: budget, forecast, margin, revenue recognition, invoicing, subcontractors and commercial change control on a multi-million-dollar engagement.
• Run global delivery across onsite/offshore/nearshore teams — capacity planning, ramp-up and ramp-down, utilization, and quality outcomes against SLAs.
• Establish program governance — steering committee, design authority, RAID, stage gates, executive dashboards and independent quality assurance reviews.
• Own delivery risk: identify, mitigate and personally lead recovery on at-risk workstreams; manage contractual obligations, milestones and dependencies.
• Drive business readiness and organizational change so adoption lands with each deployment wave; own client satisfaction, references and account growth.
• Use AI and automation as delivery levers — accelerators for discovery, data migration, testing, code remediation and documentation — and embed AI-enabled process automation into the target solution to strengthen the value case.

Required Qualifications

• 18+ years SAP experience with director-level ownership of at least two global, multi-million-dollar S/4HANA transformation programs of comparable scope.
• Proven track record leading a program from initial discovery and assessment through global template build to multi-wave global deployment.
• Experience migrating heterogeneous ERP landscapes (SAP ECC and non-SAP) onto S/4HANA, including selective data transition approaches.
• Demonstrated ability to build and hold C-suite relationships and to influence at board and steering-committee level.
• Track record leading program managers and solution architects — not just individual contributors — across multiple workstreams and geographies.
• Strong solutioning, effort estimation and commercial acumen; P&L ownership on large engagements.
• Deep global delivery experience with offshore teams; accountable for cost, quality and schedule outcomes.
• Expert command of SAP Activate, program governance, Agile-hybrid delivery and executive reporting; prior SAP functional or architecture background strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Business; MBA preferred.

Preferred

• PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, SAFe or SAP Activate certification; RISE with SAP and clean-core/BTP delivery exposure.
• Experience leading programs of this scale with AI and automation as delivery and value levers is highly desirable.
• Big 4 or global SI background with pre-sales, pursuit leadership and account growth experience.
• Industry depth in discrete manufacturing and heavy equipment.
