Job summary

Deloitte’s SAP practice is seeking an experienced SAP consultant to lead complex implementations in the Oil & Gas sector. You will work on end-to-end SAP Finance/IS-Oil projects, shaping architecture, and coordinating teams across client engagements.

Role requires 8+ years in SAP consulting, PRA/finance expertise, S4 HANA experience, and substantial O&G industry exposure. Travel up to 50% and opportunity to influence go-to-market strategies.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years’ SAP consulting experience in a professional services environment.
• At least 5 years in Oil & Gas (O&G) industry or with O&G clients.
• SAP Production and Revenue Accounting (PRA) experience.
• SAP Finance experience.
• Deep knowledge and implementation experience with SAP IS-Oil – Upstream Operations Management, PRA, and JVA.
• S4 HANA implementation experience.
• Participation in at least 4 end-to-end SAP Finance/IS-Oil implementations, with at least 2 in a Lead role.
• Ability to travel up to 50% based on client/work.

• Client Service: Advise clients on leading practices and technology/industry trends, build lasting relationships, and manage the day‑to‑day interactions with executive clients and sponsors.
• Delivery: As part of an engagement team manage and deliver SAP implementation projects – use your deep expertise to identify the organization’s needs, define the business or technology architecture, oversee the solution design and implementation, and manage team activities and progress.
• Eminence: Contribute to go‑to‑market and internal initiatives which drive growth of the practice, drive efficiency and profitability, improve quality, and increase the knowledge of our staff.
• People Development: Perform the role of mentor and coach to help junior staff achieve their career objectives, actively participate in onboarding activities, and provide leadership and support for staff on projects and in local offices.
• Business Development: Participate in sales pursuit efforts as a team member or subject matter advisor; develop and maintain relationships with client stakeholders to establish and maintain our status as a trusted advisor.

Qualifications

Required:

• At least 8 years’ relevant SAP consulting experience in a professional services environment, with a large or boutique consulting firm, or serving as an internal consultant within industry.
• At least 5 years of experience working in the Oil & Gas (O&G) industry or with O&G clients.
• SAP Production and Revenue Accounting (PRA) experience.
• SAP Finance experience.
• Deep knowledge and implementation experience with the SAP IS‑Oil solution – Upstream Operations Management, PRA, and JVA.
• S4 HANA implementation experience.
• Participation in at least 4 end‑to‑end SAP Finance /IS‑Oil implementations, with at least 2 in a Lead role.
• Ability to travel up to 50% based on work you do and the client and industries/sectors you serve.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Desired:

• Experience with SAP PRA implementations on cloud‑compliant SAP solutions, system upgrade process.
• Prior “Big4” consulting experience.
• Experience leading pre‑sales, proposal, and RFPs.
• Experience managing senior‑level client relationships.
• Experience with developing eminence, thoughtware, and point‑of‑view materials.
• Experience delivering projects using SAP ASAP & Agile methodologies.
• Signavio experience.
• Greenfield implementation experience.
• Master’s degree.

Wages & Salary

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $131,175 to $218,625. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
