Job description

The SAP PP/QM Lead / DIrector Consultant role is responsible for providing strategic and hands-on expertise in Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) within SAP environments, including S/4HANA. This position typically involves leading end-to-end implementations or support engagements, driving solution architecture, and acting as a primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.

Professionals in this role are expected to guide cross-functional workshops, document business requirements, and design scalable solutions that align with industry best practices. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality compliance (including GxP), and integration points with other modules such as SD, MM, and FICO is essential.

The role often includes leadership of both onshore and offshore delivery teams, coordination of testing and validation activities, and ensuring smooth transitions during cutovers and hypercare support. This position is particularly relevant in industries like Consumer Products and Life Sciences, where regulatory compliance and production efficiency are critical.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• SAP PP/QM Lead should be able to independently lead the module and drive & participate in business discussions; provide recommendations and solutions in various processes.
• Lead onshore and offshore teams and work with them to address customer concerns.
• Independently handle the accounts/projects either implementations or support engagements

PRIMARY SKILLS:

• 8-10 years SAP Experience
• 4-5+ Full Life cycle implementations
• Minimum of 1 S/4HANA implementation
• Strong Production Planning and Execution Skills
• Extensive experience in the end-to-end supply chain and manufacturing process; including (but not limited to) Production Planning, Forecasting, Purchase to Pay and Quality Management.
• Expertise in SAP Production Planning – Discrete Manufacturing, Repetitive Manufacturing Process Manufacturing, Production Order Process, Planning Process – MRP, Sales and Operations Planning (SOP), MPS, Capacity Levelling, Shop Floor Control
• Expertise in SAP QM – Master data, inspection plan, calibration inspection, Quality certificate, Quality Notification, Control charts, Sample Management
• Should understand how PP/QM interfaces with other modules such as SD, FICO, and MM.
• Variant Configuration, SAP Batch Management, Serial Number Mgmt.
• Handling Unit Management in production (Packing of Inbound & Outbound delivery),
• Working knowledge of the functionality of all of the other core SAP modules (FI, CO, SD) and integration points.
• Additional experience in the following areas would be a plus but not necessary
• SAP IBP
• SAP PPDS
• Integration to MES Systems
• Experience with GxP Validation and Compliance

CONSULTING SKILLS:

• Proficient in facilitating Fit/Gap workshops and directing clients to define requirements
• Proficient in the development of design and functional specification documents
• Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, and presentation.
• Ideally experienced and capable of speaking with C-level executives
• Strong MSOffice Skills with MSWord, Excel, and PowerPoint
