SAP Plant Maintenance Lead, Project Kuiper

Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.

Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

As the Sr. SAP Plant Maintenance Lead, you will manage the design, development and implementation of SAP Plant Maintenance projects and new functionalities within the Kuiper Enterprise Systems (ERP : S4 HANA) that allow for the rapid development and production of Space Hardware and reliability of equipment used to manufacture the same. The implementation of these systems are critical to scalability and cost effective business operations. We are looking for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced, start-up like environment. To be successful you need to be highly motivated and detail oriented while showing highest standards of execution.

You will collaborate with business customers, companion system functional owners, solution architects and other personnel to develop dynamic and dependable systems to meet the emerging demands of internal customers in manufacturing. Develop Business requirements documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications (FS) and review test documentation. Work in compliance with the programming and documentation standards and solve production problems in a timely manner.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Build SAP PM based solution and handle all the deployment related activities. Build reports and deploy. Integration with MES Shop Floor Systems.
  2. Active participation in Requirements gathering, Functional Specifications, High Level Documentation, Integration Test, User Acceptance Test and go-lives to ensure success and meet customer requirements.
  3. Ensure that the deployed applications perform as per customer expectations and there are no performance issues.
  4. Building Proof of Concepts (POCs) in lower tier environments based on the business requirements.
  5. Support improvement for integration areas including SAP PP, QM, MM, and Scheduling.
  6. Develop requirements and Functional Specs for Fiori Applications in the PM space.
  7. Support various testing procedures (Unit testing, Integration testing, automated test scripts).
A day in the life

You will conduct defect analysis and perform necessary fixes and improvements for any bugs witnessed in production. Collaborate with functional owners, architects and other personnel to develop dynamic and flexible systems to meet the emerging demands of internal customers in manufacturing and maintenance. Develop functional specification and estimations for assigned projects. Work in compliance with the programming and documentation standards and solve production problems in a timely manner.

About the team

Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Our team focuses on building Enterprise System Applications for manufacturing satellites. Your customers are Manufacturing, Operations and the Supply Chain teams at Kuiper.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of customer-facing product development and product management, including defining, launching, and optimizing product and services experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Knowledge of agile product development and life-cycle management process.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver products and online services on tight deadlines.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
