Job summary

Tata Consultancy Services in the United States seeks a PerformanceTesting Engineer to define, develop, and apply performance benchmarks across SAP and non-SAP apps. You will work with cross-functional teams to profile, debug, and optimize system performance, delivering root-cause analyses and scalable improvements.

The role requires 3+ years of hands-on testing, proficiency in Python/Java/C++, and experience with LoadRunner, JMeter, Dynatrace, and AppDynamics.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of proven hands-on software testing experience with strong performance testing of SAP applications.
• Candidate should have experience working on Brown or Green field S/4 HANA implementations.
• Strong knowledge of one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Perl, ABAP, Java, C++).
• Experience in performance testing tools - LoadRunner Enterprise, Apache JMeter, SoapUI, Postman.
• Experience in data analysis and visualization, end-to-end performance, and root cause analysis.
• Experience in service-oriented architecture, and RESTful APIs.
• Strong knowledge of performance-tuning SQL queries.
• Extensive hands-on experience with JVM tuning techniques.
• Experience with application performance monitoring tools like Dynatrace, and AppDynamics.
• Efficiently work with various profiling tools to identify performance bottlenecks.

Responsibilities

• Define, develop and apply performance/scalability benchmarks.
• Characterize, debug, and improve system performance in cross-functional teams.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and provide root cause analysis using profiling tools.
• Devise experiments to evaluate performance impacts of system changes.
• Plan and execute performance tests in an automated environment and analyze results.
• Participate in architecture and design reviews and contribute quality perspectives.
