Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking an SAP on AWS Solutions Architect with deep SAP and cloud expertise to help customers migrate and optimize SAP landscapes on AWS. You’ll engage directly with customers to design scalable, highly available SAP on AWS architectures and drive cloud adoption across large enterprises.

The role emphasizes hands-on technical delivery, strategic thinking about business and product challenges, and close collaboration with customers, SAP teams, and AWS architects.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in technology domain areas (software, cloud, infra, security, networking, data & analytics).
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Knowledge of SAP applications, server technology, and network security.
• Knowledge of SAP systems (S/4HANA, BW/4HANA, HANA, SAP Business Warehouse, SAP Business Objects, etc.) and their architecture and infrastructure needs.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to migrate complex on premises SAP landscapes to the cloud.
• Design, test, and deliver innovative solutions to business problems for customers.
• Run customer-facing and virtual technology and innovation workshops.
• Create prototypes covering off-the-shelf and custom-built applications, platforms, databases, and security.
• Design system landscapes for development, testing, and full production across entities, business units, and geographies.
• Assist customers with complex solution sizing of technology components (O/S, Database, Data Warehouses, Data Lakes).
• Model and design current/target/transition state architectures with customers.
• Explain value of AWS solutions to automate backups and restorations.
• Explain value of AWS solutions to support database parameters, tuning, and health checks.
• Explain value of AWS solutions for system installation, copies, and kernel upgrades.
• Explain value of AWS solutions for high availability and disaster recovery.
• Explain value of AWS solutions for single points of failure and remediation guidance.
• Design customer-specific security roles per business requirements.
• Develop and deliver customer-facing technology content (whitepapers, blogs, podcasts, videos, presentations).
• Respond to client/prospect proposals (RFP/RFI/RFx).
