Job summary

Dematic seeks a SAP Materials MM/PP Functional Business Analyst to lead implementation and production support in SAP MM/PP, with occasional QM involvement and ongoing process improvements.

This role offers remote flexibility with periodic in-person meetings at our Atlanta, GA headquarters and collaboration with global teams to enable enterprise-wide efficiency.

Qualifications

• 3 full life cycle SAP project implementations with at least one full implementation in MM and/or PP.
• 5+ years of hands-on SAP SCM (MM/PP) experience with production support and project implementation.
• Familiarity with SAP ASAP project methodology or other project methodologies.
• Expertise in master data definitions, configuration and RICEFW development in MM.
• End-to-end logistics process implementation in MM with expertise in Production Planning.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management reports, transactions, movement types, and configuration.
• Ability to design and develop user training documentation, test plans and test scripts.
• Knowledge of SAP authorization roles, objects, and basic reports to assist security design.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for functional & process quality of SAP & implementation/improvement project life cycles.
• Work with SAP Consultants/Business Analysts and regional/global partners.
• Collaborate with production support team.
• Lead implementation of SAP Production Planning module functionality: MRP, Planning board, DS board, Subcontracting, Production Orders, Planned Orders, Material Master, BOM, Routing, Work centers, Production Version.
• Configure master data, Material Planning, Procure to Pay, Sourcing & Inventory Management, and integration between MM, PP, QM.
• Design, test, and validate SAP configuration/customizing for new processes or enhancements.
• Architect APO-DP, SNP, MM/PP with procurement and production planning guidelines.
• Coordinate with SAP security on authorization issues and secure setup.
• Provide functional specs for RICEFW development and validate for business use.
• Lead workshops from scoping to realization with business process owners.

The SAP Materials MM/PP Functional Business Analyst will be responsible for project implementation and production support in the areas of SAP Materials Management/Production Planning and occasionally Quality Management; also assist in delivering new processes and functions as part of ongoing business process improvement projects.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $112,875 - $165,550 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

What You Will do in This Role:

• Responsible for functional & process quality of SAP & implementation/ improvement project life cycles
• Strong on global enterprise enablement
• Work with SAP Consultants/Business Analysts and numerous regional & global business partners.
• Work closely with the production support team
• Lead implementation of SAP Production Planning module functionality of MRP, Planning board, DS board, Subcontracting, Production Orders, Planned Orders, Material Master, BOM, Routing, Work centers, Production Version.
• Support requests involves master data configuration, Material Planning, Procure to Pay process, Sourcing & Inventory Management Process, Integration between MM, PP, QM processes. Configuring Organization structure, setting up related configuration such as valuation area, plants, Purchase org, storage location etc.
• Develop, design, test, and validate SAP configuration/customizing related to new business processes developed as part of the business process improvement initiatives either as production support initiatives or in new projects.
• Bring in guidelines in architecting, designing & supporting APO-DP, SNP and MM/PP applications with procurement and production planning
• Work with the SAP security team on resolving authorization issues and provide recommendations on efficient security setup for ongoing projects' requirements.
• Work with development teams by providing functional specifications for new RICEFW development that are production support related; test and validate the development for business use.
• Work independently with business process owners on creating new solutions, leading workshops from scoping phase through realization phase of the projects.

What We Are Looking For:

• 3 full life cycle SAP project implementations with at least one full implementation in MM and or PP
• 5+ years of hands‑on strong SAP SCM (MM/PP) experience with a combination of production support and project implementation
• Familiarity and ability to use SAP ASAP project methodology or other project methodologies
• Expertise in master data definitions, configuration and RICEFW development in the MM area
• Expertise in implementation of end to end logistics processes in relation to Material Management with specific expertise in Production planning
• Solid understanding of inventory management reports, transactions, movement types, functionality, and configuration
• Proficient in designing and developing user training documentation, test plan and test script development and execution.
• Good knowledge of SAP authorization roles, objects, and basic reports to solve missing authorizations and help security team with security design in functional areas
