Job summary

Dematic seeks an experienced SAP Materials MM/PP Functional Business Analyst to lead SAP MM/PP and related QC enhancements, supporting production planning and materials management. The role involves collaborating with global teams and production support to optimize processes.

Candidates should have 3 full life cycle SAP implementations, 8+ years in SAP SCM/MM/PP, and familiarity with ASAP methodologies. The position offers competitive compensation, development opportunities, and global exposure.

Qualifications

• Three full life cycle SAP project implementations, with at least one in MM and/or PP.
• Eight-plus years of hands-on SAP SCM (MM/PP) with production support and project work.

• End-to-end logistics knowledge in MM with Production Planning
• Strong inventory management reporting and analysis
• Experience with SAP security/authorizations

Responsibilities

• Own functional & process quality of SAP MM/PP and implementation/life cycle projects.
• Collaborate with SAP Consultants, BAs, and regional/global partners.
• Coordinate with the production support team.
• Lead MM/PP module implementations: MRP, Planning board, Subcontracting, Production Orders, BOM, Routing, Work centers.
• Analyze and resolve SAP MM/PP production issues across config, master data, and integrations.
• Configure master data, Material Planning, Procure-to-Pay, Sourcing & Inventory Management.
• Develop and validate SAP configuration for new processes from improvements or projects.
• Provide security recommendations with SAP security team for ongoing projects.
• Prepare functional specs for new RICEFW development and test thoroughly.

The SAP Materials MM/PP Functional Business Analyst

will be responsible for project implementation and production support in the areas of SAP Materials Management/Production Planning and occasionally Quality Management; also assist in delivering new processes and functions as part of ongoing business process improvement projects.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $130,875 - $150,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

Tasks and Qualifications:

What You Will do in This Role:

• Responsible for functional & process quality of SAP & implementation/ improvement project life cycles
• Work with SAP Consultants/Business Analysts and numerous regional & global business partners.
• Work closely with the production support team
• Lead implementation of SAP Production Planning module functionality of MRP, Planning board, DS board, Subcontracting, Production Orders, Planned Orders, Material Master, BOM, Routing, Work centers, Production Version.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and debug sophisticated SAP MM/PP production issues, working across configuration, master data, custom developments (RICEFW), integrations, and business processes to identify root causes and implement balanced solutions.
• Support requests involves master data configuration, Material Planning, Procure to Pay process, Sourcing & Inventory Management Process, Integration between MM, PP, QM processes. Configuring Organization structure, setting up related configuration such as valuation area, plants, Purchase org, storage location etc.
• Develop, design, test, and validate SAP configuration/customizing related to new business processes developed as part of the business process improvement initiatives either as production support initiatives or in new projects.
• Bring in guidelines in architecting, designing & supporting APO-DP, SNP and MM/PP applications with procurement and production planning
• Work with the SAP security team on resolving authorization issues and provide recommendations on efficient security setup for ongoing projects' requirements.
• Work with development teams by providing functional specifications for new RICEFW development that are production support related; test and validate the development for business use.
• Work independently with business process owners on creating new solutions, leading workshops from scoping phase through realization phase of the projects.

What We Are Looking For:

• 3 full life cycle SAP project implementations with at least one full implementation in MM and or PP
• 8+ years of hands-on strong SAP SCM (MM/PP) experience with a combination of production support and project implementation
• Familiarity and ability to use SAP ASAP project methodology or other project methodologies
• Expertise in master data definitions, configuration and RICEFW development in the MM area
• Expertise in implementation of end to end logistics processes in relation to Material Management with specific expertise in Production planning
• Solid understanding of inventory management reports, transactions, movement types, functionality, and configuration
• Proficient in designing and developing user training documentation, test plan and test script development and execution.
• Good knowledge of SAP authorization roles, objects, and basic reports to solve missing authorizations and help security team with security design in functional areas
• Strong on global enterprise enablement
