Must Have Technical/Functional Skills
- 10+ years of SAP experience with strong hands‑on expertise in SAP MDG Finance.
- Experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance and ECC FI/CO.
- Strong knowledge of Finance master data structures and SAP MDG architecture.
- BRF+, Workflow, DRF.
- At least 2 end‑to‑end SAP MDG implementations (Green field) and support experience.
- Strong understanding of data governance principles.
Roles & Responsibilities
The SAP MDG Finance Functional Consultant is responsible for designing, configuring, and supporting SAP Master Data Governance (MDG‑F) solutions for Finance master data objects. The role ensures data governance, data quality, compliance, and harmonization of finance master data across SAP ECC, SAP S/4HANA, and integrated systems.
Key Responsibilities
SAP MDG Finance Configuration & Design
- Design, configure, and support SAP MDG‑F for Finance master data objects: Chart of Accounts, GL Accounts, Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Company Codes.
- Configure MDG data models, change request types, workflows, derivations, and validations for Finance objects.
- Implement and manage rule‑based workflows using BRF+.
Data Governance & Quality
- Define and enforce Finance data governance policies, standards, and approval processes.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance across finance domains.
- Analyze and resolve MDG workflow errors, validation issues, and replication failures.
Integration & Replication
- Configure and support data replication from MDG to SAP S/4HANA Finance, SAP ECC, Central Finance (CFIN), and non‑SAP systems where applicable.
- Work with DRF, IDoc, SOA services, and CPI/PI/PO for Finance master data replication.
- Support reconciliation and error handling using AIF (if applicable).
Business Collaboration
- Conduct finance master data workshops with Finance, Controlling, and Audit stakeholders.
- Translate business requirements into functional design documents (FSDs).
- Collaborate with ABAP, MDG Technical, Basis, Security, and Data Migration teams.
Testing, Cutover & Support
- Support SIT, UAT, cutover, and go‑live activities.
- Prepare test scripts, training materials, and user documentation.
- Provide post‑go‑live support and continuous improvement.
- Experience with SAP Central Finance (CFIN).
- Exposure to S/4HANA migration or ECC → S/4HANA programs.
- Knowledge of IFRS, GAAP, SOX compliance (client‑dependent).
- SAP MDG or S/4HANA Finance certification.
Generic Managerial Skills, If any
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Leadership experience with onsite/offshore teams.
- Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and decision‑making abilities.
Base Salary Range : $160,000 to $175,000 Per Annum
