Job summary

ITmatch company is seeking a SAP MDG-M Technical Consultant in the United States to design, implement, and optimize MDG solutions for Material Master within an SAP S/4HANA environment.

You will lead technical implementation, extend data models, configure change requests, and manage transports while ensuring data replication and system performance across the landscape.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for an SAP MDG-M Technical Consultant to support a project focused on SAP Master Data Governance for Material Master, combining advanced technical expertise with end-to-end implementation experience. You will play a key role in designing, enhancing, and integrating MDG solutions within an SAP S/4HANA environment.

What will be your key responsibilities:

You will be responsible for the technical implementation and enhancement of SAP MDG-M solutions, covering data model extensions, change request configuration, workflows, staging, activation, and data replication.
Your role will involve hands-on ABAP development, including BADIs, enhancements, CDS Views, custom validations, derivations, and MDG-specific functionality. You will also work on integrations between SAP and non-SAP systems using DRF, ALE/IDoc, Web Services, and OData, while troubleshooting replication issues and analyzing system performance.
Throughout the project, you will collaborate on implementation activities, manage transports across system landscapes, and ensure the stability and performance of the MDG solution.

What experience should you have:

• SAP technical experience, including at least 2 years in SAP MDG, and a valid SAP MDG certification.
• Experience with the full lifecycle of SAP MDG-M implementations and SAP S/4HANA co-deployment or hub deployment.
• Knowledge of SAP MDG-M configuration, including data models, change requests, workflows, staging, activation, DRF replication, and BRF+.
• Understanding of Material Master processes and tables (MARA, MARC, MBEW, MVKE).
• Experience extending standard data models with custom entities, attributes, and reuse area enhancements.
• ABAP skills, including BADIs, enhancements, CDS Views, and debugging.
• Experience with MDG-specific BADIs, feeder classes, UIBBs, and FPM configurations.
• Knowledge of SAP Business Workflow, rule-based workflows, approvals, and escalations.
• Experience with DRF, ALE/IDoc (MATMAS), Web Services, OData, and SAP/non-SAP integrations.
• Knowledge of SAP MDG APIs, key mapping, duplicate checks, and replication troubleshooting.
• Strong debugging and performance analysis skills using ST05, SAT, SLG1, workflow logs, and MDG framework logs.
• Experience implementing SAP Notes and managing transports across system landscapes.
• Knowledge of SAP Fiori/UI5 for MDG applications is an advantage.
