Job summary

Day & Zimmermann Company is seeking a Material Planning Specialist to validate MRP data in SAP and support production scheduling. You will partner with Planning Supervisors to maintain data integrity, optimize material flow, and coordinate with procurement and inventory control.

You will lead inventory improvement initiatives, reduce excess stock, and train expediters while ensuring timely reconciliation of end-of-contract materials.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• BS in Supply Chain, Operations or Business preferred.
• 2+ years production operations, material planning or procurement required.
• Valid REAL ID-compliant driver’s license.
• Positive attitude and collaborative mindset essential.
• Background screening required.

Responsibilities

• Validate and maintain MRP data integrity in SAP to support inventory control and production flow.
• Assist with MRP review, issue resolution and planning tasks; provide backup coverage.
• Lead inventory improvement initiatives, reduce excess stock and optimize turns.
• Coordinate end-of-contract material reconciliation and disposal with related teams.
• Train expediters on inventory practices and process standardization.
