Job summary

Pregis is seeking a SAP Logistics & Analyst to join our Chicago, IL headquarters. The role focuses on carrier sourcing, carrier compliance, weekly invoicing, and freight spend analysis within a centralized logistics team.

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, 2–5 years in logistics or related finance, and strong Excel and SAP experience. This is an on-site position with a pathway to impact our transportation operations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing existing carrier network.
• Bring in new carrier partners.

• Maintain carrier files (insurance certs, DOT, etc.).
• Ad-hoc analysis on potential rate changes initiated by carriers.
• Develop and manage domestic carrier networks to deliver excellent service to our customers.
• Building and sustaining business partner relationships with third-party freight vendors.

We are looking for a SAP Logistics & Compliance Analyst based at our Chicago, IL headquarter location, reporting to the Procurement Director - Logistics.

Job Summary

Pregis is seeking a talented SAP Logistics & Analyst to conduct carrier sourcing events, manage carrier compliance, handle weekly consolidated invoicing, assist on financial analysis related to freight spend, and transport related escalation management. This is an exciting opportunity to bolster our skilled corporate logistics team.

The Logistics Analyst will provide Pregis with a wealth of knowledge related to freight markets and financial analysis and support our 25 different shipping sites in the US from a centralized corporate position.

The Logistics Analyst will be based at our Chicago, IL headquarter location.

Responsibilities

Carrier/TMS Management

• Assist in managing existing carrier network
• Bring in new carrier partners
• Drive carrier compliance
• Develop strategies to mitigate rising freight costs
• Main point of contact for Pregis with our TMS provider
• Maintain carrier files (insurance certs, DOT, etc.)
• Ad-hoc analysis on potential rate or rule changes initiated by carriers
• Develop and manage domestic carrier networks to deliver excellent service to our customers
• Building and sustaining business partner relationships with third-party freight vendors

Management of bill pay and audit process

• Audit, Review, and process our weekly consolidated invoice
• Approve/Reject invoicing issues

Financial Analysis

• Develop relevant freight metrics to track and communicate to executive team
• Understanding of freight finance, including coding, and accrual to certain accounts

Building and sustaining business partner relationships with third-party freight vendors

Job Requirements

Education / Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 2 to 5 years of logistics industry experience and/or related finance experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel experience.

Skills & Training

• Experience using SAP.
• Ability to develop strong relationships and work well cross functionally.
• Understanding of key finance principles and the ability to audit invoices.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to compile and analyze performance data to develop metrics that support decision-making for resource allocation.
• Solid business acumen, management, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Effective time management, organization, and leadership skills.
• Demonstrated personal and professional effectiveness in initiative across a complex organization.
• Collaborative; works well in a team environment.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Pregis' total compensation package.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $75-$84K, depending on experience and skills.
