Job Title: SAP Integration Specialist

Location: Remote (Must be located in Central or South America)

Job-Type: Contract

Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned SAP Integration Developer with deep expertise in SAP PI/PO (7.5 or newer) and strong experience in EDI integration development. This individual will play a key role in a large-scale SAP modernization and integration effort involving high-volume data environments, middleware/API integrations, and migration to SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration).
You will contribute to the design, development, migration, testing, and support of integration interfaces critical to business operations, including customer portals, logistics systems, tax engines, and transportation partners.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and Manage SAP PI/PO & CPI Integration Solutions

• Design, build, and support secure EDI integrations using SAP PI/PO and SAP CPI.
• Work with mapping tools including Graphical Mapping, XSLT, Message Mapping, and Java Mapping.
• Configure and manage Trading Partner Management (TPM) and connection protocols (AS2, SFTP, etc.).

Lead Migration from PI/PO to SAP CPI

• Assess existing PI/PO scenarios and develop migration plans.
• Execute migration of interfaces to CPI using SAP adapters, REST/SOAP services, and API management tools.

Execute Comprehensive Testing

• Conduct unit, integration, and end-to-end testing of interfaces.
• Validate encryption/decryption, protocol security, and payload accuracy.
• Coordinate UAT efforts with business stakeholders.

Provide Monitoring and Support

• Monitor integrations and system health using SAP tools.
• Troubleshoot failures, log errors, and perform root cause analysis.
• Conduct regular security audits and optimize performance.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience with SAP S/4HANA (not ECC).
• 5+ years hands-on experience with SAP PI/PO (7.5 or newer).
• 5+ years of EDI integration development, including configuration, debugging, and data exchange with partners.
• Proven experience with AS2 connections, document management, and secure protocols.
• Strong proficiency with IDoc, RFC, HTTP, REST, SOAP, FTP protocols.
• Java Mapping experience for EDI and integration scenarios.
• Strong debugging skills for complex integration flows.
• Experience monitoring and troubleshooting live SAP integrations.
• Developer-level proficiency – not an architect role.

Nice to Haves:

• 2–3 years of experience with SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration).
• Familiarity with integration to third-party systems like FedEx, UPS, tax engines, and logistics platforms.
• Experience in high-volume environments (e.g., hundreds of millions of transactions per month).

Additional Notes:

• Candidates must be located nearshore or offshore in accordance with company policy.
• This is a critical role in a modernization program driving large-scale business transformation.
