Job summary

Bluebird is seeking an experienced SAP HCM specialist to maintain PA and Time Management environments, provide 2nd level support, analyze incidents, and work with business, development, QA, architecture, and PM teams.

You will plan deployments, drive optimization, and contribute to modernization of HR systems while staying open to AI tools and new technologies.

Required: 4+ years in SAP HCM (PA/PT), strong analytical, German language skills, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of SAP HCM experience with strong knowledge of PA and/or PT.
• Analytical mindset with a structured and solution-oriented approach.
• Excellent German language skills, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to learn new topics and emerging technologies, including AI.

Responsibilities

• Ensure stable operation of SAP HCM PA/PT environments and optimize processes.
• Provide 2nd Level Support and manage incidents with root cause analysis.
• Plan deployments and support introduction of new functionalities.
• Collaborate with internal departments and with Development, QA, Architecture, and PM teams.
• Drive change initiatives and contribute to HR system modernization.
• Analyze and improve HR processes and guidance for stakeholders.
• Maintain and optimize existing applications and workflows.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the stable operation of a complex SAP HCM environment with a focus on Personnel Administration (PA) and Time Management (PT).
• Maintain, monitor, and continuously optimize existing applications and processes.
• Analyze, process, and track incidents while providing 2nd Level Support.
• Perform root cause analysis and develop sustainable solutions.
• Plan and support deployments and the introduction of new functionalities.
• Collaborate closely with internal business departments and colleagues from Development, Quality Assurance, Architecture, and Project Management.
• Work continuously with stakeholders and actively support change and optimization initiatives.
• Contribute to the further development and modernization of existing HR systems.

Technical & Personal Requirements

• Experience in SAP HCM, ideally focusing on: Time Management (PT), and/or Personnel Administration (PA).
• Experience in Application Management and/or 2nd Level Support.
• Good understanding of SAP HCM-related business processes.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence is preferred.
• Technical understanding for analysis and debugging is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Development skills (e.g., ABAP) are not required.
• Strong motivation and willingness to learn, especially in areas such as debugging and emerging technologies.
• Openness to new topics, including the use of AI in operational environments.
• Independent and responsible working style.
• Structured, process-oriented thinking.
• Interest in shaping and improving processes and structures.
• Strong team player who enjoys working in a dynamic environment.

Your Profile

• Completed technical or business-related education (technical college, university, university of applied sciences, or equivalent experience).
• At least 4 years of professional experience in the SAP HCM environment with strong knowledge of Personnel Administration (PA) and/or Time Management (PT).
• Analytical mindset with a structured and solution-oriented approach.
• High level of initiative and willingness to learn new topics.
• Strong communication skills and enjoyment of working with various stakeholders.
• Excellent German language skills, both written and spoken.
