Seamless Migration is seeking a career and customer-oriented SAP HANA Database Administrator, to join our team.

OVERVIEW
- Responsible for maintaining SAP HANA Databases
- Responsible for migrating data to HANA cloud
- Perform takeovers and failovers and periodic disaster recovery tests
- Support all HANA environment lifecycle phases including planning, installation, configuration, patching, change-management, and backup/recovery planning
- Provide technical expertise for HANA performance tuning and ensure high-availability and disaster recovery
- Troubleshoot databases, solve problems, conduct application capacity planning, and optimize database resources
- Perform performance tuning, patching, provisioning, and ensure high-availability of HANA systems
- Monitor HANA Databases, set up alerting, and automate monitoring processes and data modeling
- Use database trace utilities and analyze trace log files
- Utilize HANA Studio, DBA Cockpit to analyze traces and dumps for memory and CPU usage
- Manage users and roles in SAP HANA, verify grants, and conduct grant audits
- Create audit policies and query audit logs to reconstruct past events
- Create workload classes, kill scripts, and deploy/tune thresholds for alerting
- Perform HANA Installation, Data Provisioning, Administration, and Modeling
- Implement SAP HANA security mechanisms and system monitoring
- Integrate SAP HANA into various remote systems
- Configure predictive system warnings and monitor metrics to prevent outages
- Run and troubleshoot SQL scripts; understand procedures, functions, and triggers
- Communicate effectively in joint troubleshooting sessions with disparate teams
- Demonstrate subject-matter expertise with HANA high availability and backup/recovery methods and tools
- Maintain a flexible schedule, including possible weekend or after-hours work
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Database Administrator
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a SAP HANA Database Administrator
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to analyze/search logs and trace files to extract relevant data
- Proficient in SQL and database procedural languages
- Ability to write queries quickly to retrieve data
- Familiarity with scripting languages and Linux environment
- Strong database troubleshooting skills including performance tuning, patching, and provisioning
- Experience managing users and roles, running grant audits, and creating audit policies
- Ability to create workload classes and deploy alert thresholds
- Experience with HANA Studio, DBA Cockpit, trace and dump analysis
- Good verbal and written communication skills
