Job summary

SMX is hiring SAP Functional SMEs to serve as the domain authority for Army financial processes. You will guide the extraction of legacy business logic from GFEBS BW into configurable LCNC workflows, ensuring strict adherence to accounting validations, posting rules, and full audit logging.

Your expertise will directly shape how the Army handles statements of transactions, funds distribution, payroll reclassifications, and readiness reporting.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Secret Clearance (or higher) required.
• 5+ years of SAP functional or technical experience with SAP BW and SAP ECC.
• Deep expertise in SAP data structures, processes, interfaces and transactional processing.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing custom SAP applications and document processes to translate them into platform-independent requirements.
• Define configuration and validation rules for capabilities including Statement of Transactions, FB50 Reclassification, Electronic Funds Distribution (EFD), and Spend Plans.
• Map legacy LOA and master data derivations for DDRS and MILPERS.
• Support UAT, exception handling triage, and transition of Level 1 support to the sustainment team.

Your expertise will directly shape how the Army handles statement of transactions, funds distribution, payroll reclassifications, and readiness reporting

• Analyze existing custom SAP applications and document transactional business processes to translate them into platform-independent requirements.

• Define configuration and validation rules for critical capabilities including Statement of Transactions, FB50 Reclassification, Electronic Funds Distribution (EFD), and Spend Plans.

• Map legacy lines of accounting (LOA) and master data derivations for systems like DDRS and MILPERS.

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), exception handling triage, and the transition of Level 1 support responsibilities to the sustainment team.

Required Skills & Experience

• Active U.S. Secret Clearance (or higher).

• 5+ years of SAP functional or technical experience, with hands‑on knowledge of SAP BW and SAP ECC.

• Deep expertise in SAP data structures, business processes, interfaces, and transactional processing.

The proposed salary for this position is:

$112,600-$187,600 USD
