GAF is seeking an experienced Lead SAP Finance Solution Architect to design, implement, and optimize our enterprise SAP Finance ecosystem. You will bridge Core Finance (GL, AP, AR, Intercompany) with Tax and Treasury, using SAP S/4HANA Universal Journal to enable automated, compliant, and scalable financial capabilities across quote-to-cash, procure-to-pay, intercompany, tax, and cash management.

You will serve as the technical authority, partnering with Finance leaders to translate business

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on SAP FI/CO experience across GL, AP, AR, Intercompany, Tax, and Treasury.
• Deep knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture, Universal Journal, and integrated sub-ledgers.
• Extensive multi-entity accounting, intercompany matching & reconciliation (ICMR).
• Experience with tax engines and bank connectivity as part of ERP integration.

Responsibilities

• Architect and govern the global GL structure and Universal Journal.
• Design optimized AP/AR processes including automated invoice processing and cash application.
• Lead end-to-end Intercompany processes and netting across entities.
• Drive real-time Cash Management, multi-currency forecasting, and bank reconciliation.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead SAP Finance Solution Architect to drive the end-to-end design, implementation, and optimization of our enterprise SAP Finance ecosystem. In this role, you will be the primary technical authority bridging Core Finance operations (GL, AP, AR, Intercompany) with specialized financial functions (Tax and Treasury). Leveraging SAP’s unified architecture (S/4HANA Universal Journal), you will design automated, compliant, and scalable financial capabilities that streamline quote-to-cash, procure-to-pay, intercompany operations, global tax, and cash management.

Essential Duties

• Core Financial Architecture (GL, AP, AR):
  • Architect and govern the global General Ledger (GL) structure, parallel ledgers, chart of accounts, and real-time financial reporting within the Universal Journal
  • Design optimized Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, including automated invoice processing, dynamic payment runs, dunning, dispute management, and cash application.
• Intercompany Processing & Netting:
  • Design end-to-end Intercompany processes (Intercompany AP/AR, cross-company code billing, matching, and reconciliation) to streamline month-end close.
  • Establish centralized intercompany netting, profit margin allocations, and transfer pricing automation across global legal entities.
• Treasury & Cash Management:
  • Lead solution design for real-time Cash Management, multi-currency cash flow forecasting, in-house banking, and automated bank reconciliation.
  • Oversee bank communication channels using SAP Multi-Bank Connectivity / BCM and SWIFT frameworks.
  • Architect Financial Risk Management tools for FX exposure trac
• Tax & Global Compliance:
  • Integrate indirect tax determination integration with Vertex across AR sales orders and AP purchase orders/invoices.
  • Align intercompany cash movements and intercompany sales with direct tax, withholding tax, and transfer pricing requirements.
• Integration & Cross-Functional Governance:
  • Manage end-to-end integrations between Core FI, Treasury, Tax, and third-party tools (e.g., Vertex, Thomson Reuters, Bloomberg, 360T, banking portals).
  • Partner with Finance leadership, Tax, Treasury, and Shared Services teams to translate business requirements into efficient SAP architecture.

Qualifications Required

• Bachelor’s Degree Information Technology, Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. required
• Master’s degree preferred
• 10+ years of hands‑on SAP FI/CO experience, with proven expertise leading implementations across GL, AP, AR, Intercompany, Tax, and Treasury.
• SAP S/4HANA Expertise: Deep technical and functional mastery of S/4HANA architecture, Universal Journal, and integrated sub‑ledgers.
• Core & Intercompany Mastery: Extensive background in multi‑entity accounting, intercompany matching & reconciliation (ICMR), and parallel accounting standards (IFRS / US GAAP).
• Tax & Treasury Systems: Hands‑on experience with SAP DRC, third‑party tax engines (Vertex, ONESOURCE, Avalara), SWIFT connectivity, and SAP TRM/Cash Management modules.

Qualifications Preferred

• SAP Certifications preferred.

Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.

Base Salary Range: $144,000-$198,000
