Job summary

TRC Talent Solutions partnered with a leading SAP and supply chain consulting firm to recruit an SAP Finance (FICO) Consultant. This role will drive SAP S/4HANA modernization initiatives, delivering hands-on Finance configuration, solution design, and functional leadership for critical client environments.

Responsibilities include leading design and configuration across GL, AP, AR, and AA, serving as the finance lead, and guiding testing, deployment, and ongoing enhancements within SAP Finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 5–7 years SAP Finance experience.
• 4–5 years hands-on SAP FICO configuration.
• Experience with GL, AP, AR, and AA in SAP Finance.
• Experience in SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP Finance solution design, configuration, and implementation across GL, AP, AR, AA, and Funds Management.
• Serve as the functional lead for Finance workstreams and guide on complex business and system challenges.
• Analyze business processes to identify risks, gaps, and optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and BASIS teams to deliver SAP solutions.
• Lead testing efforts including test planning, defect resolution, and UAT support.
• Support ongoing maintenance and continuous improvement in SAP Finance environments.
• Gather and document business requirements and translate them into SAP solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide functional support for Finance processes.
• Develop functional specs, process docs, and configuration docs.

• Serve as the functional lead for Finance workstreams and provide guidance on complex business and system challenges.
• Analyze business processes to identify optimization opportunities, risks, and functional gaps.
• Partner with architects, developers, BASIS teams, and business stakeholders to deliver integrated SAP solutions.
• Lead testing efforts, including test planning, defect resolution, UAT support, and stabilization activities.
• Support ongoing maintenance, enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives within SAP Finance environments.
• Gather and document business requirements and translate them into scalable SAP solutions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide functional support for Finance-related processes.
• Develop functional specifications, process documentation, and configuration documentation.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor's degree with 5-7 years of SAP Finance experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 4-5 years of hands-on SAP FICO configuration experience.
• Strong experience supporting SAP Finance modules including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Asset Accounting (AA).
• Experience working within SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Strong business process analysis, requirements gathering, and stakeholder management experience.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with clients.
• Experience leading testing, deployment, and support activities.Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
