Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

We are seeking a senior-level SAP professional to support and enhance enterprise finance applications. This position will work closely with Finance, IT, development teams, project leadership, and external partners to deliver system improvements and provide ongoing application support.

The ideal candidate has extensive hands-on experience with SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) and has supported complex ERP environments through implementations, enhancements, and production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Configure, support, and enhance SAP FICO functionality across enterprise finance processes.
• Translate business needs into functional system requirements and practical SAP solutions.
• Participate in ERP projects from requirements and design through testing, deployment, and post-production support.
• Troubleshoot application issues and coordinate resolution with business and technical teams.
• Create functional documentation and specifications for system enhancements and integrations.
• Partner with SAP developers and technical resources on application changes, interfaces, reporting, and system improvements.
• Support testing activities, data migration, cutover planning, and user readiness.
• Analyze existing finance processes and recommend opportunities for system and workflow improvements.
• Manage application incidents, requests, enhancements, and competing business priorities.
• Support integration between SAP Finance and other enterprise applications.
• Maintain appropriate documentation and follow established change-management and IT support processes.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and distributed support teams.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of SAP FICO experience with significant hands-on configuration and production support experience.
• Strong knowledge of core SAP Finance and Controlling processes, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Cost Center Accounting, and Product Costing.
• Experience completing multiple SAP implementations or major ERP transformation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of integration between SAP FICO and other SAP functional areas.
• Experience gathering requirements, configuring solutions, developing functional specifications, testing, cutover, and production support.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex functional and system issues.
• Experience working with technical development teams on SAP enhancements, reports, interfaces, conversions, and related development objects.
• Familiarity with enterprise IT service-management and change-management practices.
• Experience working with geographically distributed or offshore/onshore technical teams.
• Strong communication, documentation, stakeholder-management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, support requests, and priorities simultaneously.

Preferred Experience:

• SAP experience within manufacturing, industrial, engineering, or another complex enterprise environment.
• Experience with additional SAP controlling, profitability, project, or consolidation functionality.
• Exposure to third-party tax solutions and other finance-system integrations.
• Familiarity with SAP administration, governance, master-data, or application-lifecycle tools.
• Experience supporting large-scale ERP modernization or business-process transformation initiatives.
