Job summary

Ampstek seeks a Principal Consultant to lead SAP FICO projects in the US, focusing on FI/CO, AP/AR, and costing. You'll drive configuration, design, and demonstrations, while coordinating POC workshops and estimates to fit client budgets.

Ideal candidates bring 10–15+ years in IT with SAP, strong business process knowledge in life sciences, and the ability to blend functional expertise with ABAP/technical skills for client-specific solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required; three years of education can be substituted by experience.
• 10–15+ years of Information Technology experience with SAP and related domains.
• 12+ years in configuration/solutions evaluation/development and deployment.
• 4–6 years of SAP FICO implementation experience with integration to other processes.
• 2–3 end-to-end SAP implementations; at least one as Solution Architect at client site.
• 6+ years in business process consulting, problem definition and process design.
• Strong FI/CO, AP/AR, Product Costing, COPA, New GL, SD, MM, EWM knowledge; ABAP/technical ability.

Responsibilities

Job description

As a Principal Consultant, you will be a key player in the consulting team that helps discover and define the problem statement, evaluates the solution options, and makes recommendations. You will plan the activities of configuration, configure the product as per the design, conduct conference room pilots and will assist in resolving any queries related to requirements and solution design. You will conduct solution/product demonstrations, POC/Proof of Technology workshops and prepare effort estimates which suit the customer budgetary requirements and are in line with organization’s financial guidelines. You will also support knowledge transfer with the objective of providing value-adding consulting solutions that enable our clients to meet the changing needs of the global landscape.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
• At least 10 - 15+ years of experience with Information Technology (Principal Consultant)
• At least 12 years of experience in Configuration/solutions evaluation/ Validation /Development and deployment
• At least minimum 4~6 years of SAP project implementation experience in SAP FICO and integration with other process areas
• At least two-three end to end implementation projects and at least one was performed as Solution Architect preferably at client location.
• At least 6 years of experience in Business Process Consulting, problem definition,
• Architecture/Design /Detailing of Processes
• Strong hands-on experience in and knowledge of design, configuration and testing of core Financial Accounting (FI) and Managerial Accounting (CO)
• Strong experience and knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Product Costing/Actual Costing/Material Ledger, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Orders, Profit Center
• Strong experience and knowledge of key integration points with SAP FICO and other SAP modules, including COPA, New GL, SD, MM, EWM etc.
• SAP FICO, Reporting, and Allocations experience a plus
• Able to combine strong functional experience with ABAP/technical skillset to debug and implement solutions to client’s customized SAP solution.
• Strong understanding of business processes in the life sciences

Preferred Qualifications:
