Job summary

Applied Medical, a leading medical device company, seeks an SAP FICO Business Analyst to design and optimize finance and controlling solutions. You will partner with Finance and Accounting to translate requirements into scalable SAP configurations across FICO, MM, SD, PP, and HCM, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and compliance.

You will document designs, perform testing, and support data migration while aligning with global teams across time zones.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of hands-on experience implementing and configuring SAP FICO in functional and technical capacities.
• Experience with SAP FI (GL, AP, AR, Asset Accounting, Cash Management/Banking) and SAP CO (Cost Center, Profit Center, Internal Orders, Product Costing, Project Systems).
• Knowledge of core Finance integrations with SAP MM, SAP SD, SAP GTS, and SAP PP.
• Understanding integration with MM, SD, PP, and HCM to enable End‑to‑End processes.
• Develops design documents, functional specs, test scripts, and validation evidence; supports data migration and risk mitigation.
• Follows change control and project management practices to maintain compliance and traceability.
• Communicates effectively with global stakeholders and collaborates across cross‑functional teams.
• Stays current on relevant software technologies and recommends solutions that drive business value.
• Applies knowledge of SAP BPC and/or OneStream.

Responsibilities

Position Description

The SAP FICO Business Analyst supports Applied Medical by designing, configuring, and improving finance and controlling solutions that enable accurate financial reporting, efficient processes, and strong internal controls. The role partners with Finance and Accounting to translate business requirements into scalable solutions across SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) and related applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather requirements and design solutions across SAP FICO; configure, test, and implement system enhancements and software change requests.
• Collaborate with global Finance and Accounting teams to document requirements and deliver designs, configurations, developments, testing, and cutover
• Follow change control and project management processes to ensure compliant delivery and traceability of changes.
• Develop functional specifications, design documents, test scripts, and validation evidence; support data migration and issue resolution.
• Understand integration with other SAP modules including Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD), Production Planning (PP) and HCM (Human Capital Management) to enable End‑TO End processes. ‑to‑end processes.
• Participate in software validation activities to verify intended performance and compliance.
• Support enterprise systems and Finance business processes across multiple time zones and locations, including incident triage and root‑cause analysis.
• Research emerging technologies and next generation platforms;‑generation platforms; recommend improvements that drive innovation and business value.

• Ensuring regulatory and validation requirements are met through complete documentation, testing, and change control.
• Leading crossfunctional‑functional initiatives that enhance process integration across Finance, Supply Chain, and Sales Operations.
• Reducing production incidents and accelerating time to resolution through proactive analysis and knowledge sharing.
• Driving continuous improvement by identifying optimization opportunities and implementing practical, scalable enhancements.

Position Requirements

This position requires the following skills and attributes:

• Applies knowledge of core Finance integrations with SAP MM, SAP SD, SAP GTS, and SAP PP.

Preferred

The following skills and attributes are preferred:

• Brings experience with vendor invoice management applications such as OpenText Vendor Invoice Management (VIM) or equivalent.
• Demonstrates integration experience with SAP Concur for travel and expense processes.
• Holds SAP FICO certification or equivalent credentials.
• Applies external tax solutions such as Thomson Reuters ONESOURCE or equivalent.
• Contributes to software validation activities and documentation in regulated environments.
• Experience with integration with SAP Success factors
• Brings experience in life sciences or medical device settings.
• Works with SAP S/4HANA 2021 or higher and understands differences from earlier releases.
