We are seeking a highly experienced SAP FICO Solution Architect to lead enterprise-scale SAP Finance transformation initiatives, S/4HANA implementations, migrations, and integration projects.

The ideal candidate will possess deep functional expertise in SAP Financial Accounting (FI), Controlling (CO), S/4HANA Finance, and cross-functional integrations, along with proven experience designing scalable financial solutions and leading global SAP delivery teams.

This role requires a combination of hands-on SAP architecture, strategic consulting, business process transformation, stakeholder management, and technical team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end SAP Finance solution architecture across enterprise implementations.
• Design scalable, standardized, and integrated SAP FICO solutions aligned with business requirements.
• Lead architecture design workshops and solution blueprinting sessions.
• Define solution architecture, integration patterns, configuration standards, and governance.
• Lead fit-to-standard assessments and identify opportunities to minimize customizations.
• Evaluate SAP standard functionality versus custom developments.
• Ensure solutions align with SAP best practices and Clean Core principles.
• Review and approve functional design documents, technical specifications, and architecture decisions.

2. SAP S/4HANA Finance Expertise

• Lead SAP ECC to S/4HANA Finance migration and transformation initiatives.
• General Ledger (GL) and Universal Journal (ACDOCA)
• Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Asset Accounting (AA)
• Bank Accounting and Electronic Bank Statements
• Cost Center and Profit Center Accounting
• Internal Orders
• Product Costing and Material Ledger
• Profitability Analysis (CO-PA / Margin Analysis)
• Financial Closing and Consolidation integration
• Parallel Accounting and Multiple Ledgers
• Intercompany Accounting
• Design financial reporting solutions using SAP Fiori, embedded analytics, and CDS-based reporting.
• Lead financial data migration, reconciliation, and validation activities.

3. Cross-Functional Integration Architecture

• Architect and oversee integrations between SAP FICO and:
• SAP MM – Procurement and Inventory Accounting
• SAP SD – Order-to-Cash and Revenue Accounting
• SAP PP – Production Costing and Manufacturing
• SAP PS – Project Accounting
• SAP EWM – Warehouse and Inventory Integration
• SAP SuccessFactors / HCM – Payroll and Finance Integration
• SAP Ariba – Procurement and Supplier Integration
• SAP BTP – Integration and Extension Services
• Define integration approaches for third-party financial systems, banking platforms, tax engines, and reporting tools.
• Collaborate with ABAP, Basis, Security, Data, and Integration teams.

4. Finance Transformation and Business Consulting

• Partner with CFOs, Finance Directors, Controllers, and business stakeholders.
• Analyze existing finance processes and identify optimization opportunities.
• Lead business process transformation across:
• Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
• Order-to-Cash (O2C)
• Plan-to-Produce (P2P – Manufacturing)
• Define global finance templates, chart of accounts structures, and organizational models.
• Support multi-company, multi-currency, and multi-country SAP implementations.
• Ensure solutions support financial controls, auditability, and applicable regulatory requirements.

5. Technical and Delivery Leadership

• Lead teams of SAP FICO consultants, developers, and integration specialists.
• Provide architecture guidance and technical mentorship.
• Review configuration, functional specifications, and integration designs.
• Establish solution quality standards and delivery governance.
• Manage technical risks, dependencies, and critical design decisions.
• Support SIT, UAT, cutover planning, hypercare, and production stabilization.
• Resolve complex SAP Finance defects and integration challenges.
• Coordinate with offshore and onsite delivery teams.

6. Client Engagement and Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary SAP Finance architecture advisor for enterprise clients.
• Lead architecture review meetings, design discussions, and executive presentations.
• Communicate complex technical solutions to business stakeholders.
• Work with program managers to manage project milestones, risks, and dependencies.
• Participate in presales activities, solution estimations, RFP responses, and technical presentations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 12+ years of SAP FICO experience, including 4+ years in solution architecture or enterprise finance design leadership.
• At least 3 full-cycle SAP implementations, including at least 1 S/4HANA Finance implementation.
• Strong hands-on experience in SAP FI and CO configuration.
• Proven experience with S/4HANA Finance architecture, migration, and integration.
• Deep understanding of enterprise financial accounting and controlling processes.
• Experience leading SAP teams across multiple geographies.
• Strong knowledge of SAP integration and financial data migration.
• Excellent client-facing communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
• Ability to independently own architecture decisions and resolve complex delivery challenges.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP S/4HANA Financial Accounting or Management Accounting certification.
• Experience with SAP Central Finance (CFIN).
• Knowledge of SAP Group Reporting, Treasury, FSCM, and Advanced Financial Closing.
• Experience with SAP RISE / Private Cloud / Public Cloud implementations.
• Familiarity with SAP BTP and SAP Integration Suite.
• Experience with global rollouts and multi-country statutory requirements.
• Background in manufacturing, healthcare, pharmaceutical, retail, or financial services.
• Experience managing distributed onsite/offshore SAP delivery teams.
