You will partner with Finance, Accounting, and IT to translate requirements into system solutions and contribute to future S/4HANA transformation projects.

The role emphasizes hands-on FI configuration, end-user support, and continuous improvement within an enterprise SAP environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of SAP Finance (FI) experience.

A Fortune 500 client is looking for a SAP Finance Configuration Analyst to support and enhance their SAP ECC Finance environment. This individual will partner with Finance, Accounting, and IT stakeholders to configure, optimize, and support SAP Finance processes across General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and financial close activities. This role is ideal for a mid-level SAP professional with strong hands‑on SAP FI configuration experience who enjoys solving business process challenges, supporting end users, and driving continuous improvements within an enterprise SAP environment. The individual will also have the opportunity to participate in this client’s future SAP S/4HANA transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, maintain, and support SAP FI functionality within SAP ECC.
• Partner with Accounting and Finance teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into system solutions.
• Support and enhance General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing functional support to business users.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end financial close activities.
• Perform system testing, validation, and documentation for configuration changes and enhancements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams supporting Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and other integrated SAP processes.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization efforts.
• Support future SAP S/4HANA migration activities as needed.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of SAP Finance (FI) experience.
• Strong hands‑on SAP FI configuration experience within SAP ECC – hands on keyboard and configuring solutions related work
• Experience configuring and supporting: o General Ledger (GL)o Accounts Payable (AP)o Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience supporting month‑end and year‑end close activities.
• Strong understanding of financial business processes and accounting principles.
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into SAP solutions.
• Experience troubleshooting production support issues and driving issue resolution.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with business stakeholders.
• Experience with SAP Controlling (CO), including Cost Centers, Internal Orders, Product Costing, or Profitability Analysis.
• Exposure to SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience supporting manufacturing or aerospace organizations.
• Experience with cross‑functional integrations involving MM, SD, or PP modules.
• Experience participating in SAP upgrades, enhancements, or transformation initiatives.
