Job summary

HW Staffing co in Sacramento, CA is seeking an experienced SAP Project Manager to lead the ESL implementation for PP/PI, QM, Inventory Management and EWM across manufacturing and logistics operations.

You will manage project governance, budgeting, risk management, stakeholder communications, testing, go-live support and stabilization, while coaching teams in Lean-Agile practices and ensuring successful adoption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years of project management experience.
• 5+ years leading full-cycle SAP implementation projects.
• Strong knowledge of SAP PP/PP-PI, QM, Inventory Management, and EWM.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Job description

SAP Project ManagerSacramento, CAHybrid - onsite 3x a week

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of the Sacramento SAP ESL implementation, including project planning, execution, governance, budgeting, risk management, stakeholder communication, testing, deployment, go-live support, stabilization, and hypercare.
• Drive Fit-to-Standard and Fit/Gap workshops while coordinating SAP solutions across Production Planning (PP/PP-PI), Quality Management (QM), Inventory Management, and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) to ensure alignment with business and operational requirements.
• Partner with manufacturing, warehouse, quality, and supply chain teams to support core operational processes including inventory management, receiving, put-away, picking, replenishment, shipping, product traceability, cycle counting, quality compliance, and recall readiness.
• Coordinate warehouse and logistics initiatives involving automation, ASRS, conveyors, RF devices, transportation systems, yard logistics, off-site warehousing, storage capacity management, and facility transition activities.
• Lead systems integration efforts, operational readiness assessments, user acceptance testing, cutover planning, and change management activities while supporting end-user adoption and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Develop project status reporting, performance metrics, and executive communications while coaching project teams on project management best practices and Lean-Agile methodologies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years of project management experience.
• 5+ years leading full-cycle SAP implementation projects, preferably within manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of SAP PP/PP-PI, QM, Inventory Management, and EWM, including integration across manufacturing, warehouse, quality, and logistics operations.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at all organizational levels, including executive leadership.
• Proficiency with project management platforms such as Jira, Wrike, or Asana.
• Familiarity with SAP Activate or similar implementation methodologies.
• Exposure to AI-enabled business tools, including SAP Joule.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Preferred Qualifications MBA or other advanced business degree.
• Experience within manufacturing, distribution, food & beverage, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) environments.
• Background supporting process manufacturing operations, including batch traceability, recipe management, quality controls, shelf-life management, and multi-site SAP deployments.
