Job summary

General Atomics in San Diego, CA is seeking an experienced Accountant IV to support corporate accounting and consolidation activities. This role ensures accurate financial reporting and compliance with GAAP, and supports the monthly and quarterly close, as well as consolidated statements.

You will collaborate with finance, government accounting, treasury, tax, FP&A, HR, operations, and external auditors to drive efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Master's degree or CPA preferred.
• Experience with corporate accounting and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing consolidated financial statements across multiple entities.
• Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Prepare and review journal entries, including accruals and adjustments.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Perform research and analysis of accounting issues and financial data.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and alignment.
• Drive efficiencies in the close and consolidation processes.
• Support implementation of best practices in corporate accounting.
