Qualifications

  • Five years of bookkeeping experience or a degree with accounting credits.
  • Bachelor's Degree including or supplemented by accounting credits.
  • One year as a Fiscal Technician or Financial Programs Trainee with accounting credits.
  • Successful completion of the Commonwealth Accounting Intern Program.
  • Educational requirements met within 3 months of graduation.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain expenditure records and budgetary control accounts.
  • Prepare account status reports and perform account tracking.
  • Process invoices accurately and resolve payment issues in SAP.
  • Review funds, perform financial analyses, and prepare statements.
  • Coordinate with vendors and support procurement needs.
  • Verify posting of fixed assets and oversee transfers/disposals.
  • Participate in inventory control and prepare variance reports.
