Job summary

A chemical manufacturing company in South Carolina is seeking a skilled SAP Business Process Manager. The ideal candidate will leverage extensive SAP knowledge and operational experience to analyze and improve supply chain processes. Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, SAP, procurement or supply chain.
  • Extensive experience in SAP, especially MM, PP, WM, or SCM modules.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

  • Deep understanding of supply chain and production operations, including logistics, inventory management, and manufacturing processes.
  • Extensive experience in SAP, with modules such as MM, PP, WM, or SCM; customization is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and streamline end-to-end business processes using SAP.
  • Manage project activities including testing and deployment.
  • Coordinate integration and user acceptance testing.
  • Coordinate integration and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the solution meets business requirements across different teams and systems.
  • Provide expert-level support for complex operational issues within the SAP environment, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to maintain business continuity.
  • Work closely with stakeholders from various departments to ensure seamless integration across the entire business process and alignment of supply chain strategies with organizational goals.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and utilize SAP reporting tools (Fiori, Power BI) to monitor supply chain performance, track process improvements, and drive data-informed decision-making.
  • Provide custom reporting and data mining to support functional projects throughout the organization.
  • Act as the liaison with the global SAP team to support exception-based reporting with LIS, SIS and Azure Synapse.
  • Develop standards for master data and oversee, enforce and support those standards, including mass updates.

SAP Business Process Manager – Focus Operations & Supply Chain
Position Summary

This individual will serve as a strategic business partner who optimizes operational and supply chain performance by leveraging deep knowledge of SAP modules, production processes, and supply chain management. Key responsibilities include analyzing and streamlining end-to-end processes, gathering business requirements, defining and supporting the development of SAP solutions, and ensuring proper testing, system integration and successful implementation. This role requires a blend of technical SAP expertise and strong business acumen to bridge the gap between IT and operations.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Analyze existing business processes and identify areas for improvement in production, operations, and the supply chain, recommending and implementing best practices using SAP functionality
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into functional specifications, and design solutions that leverage best practices within SAP
  • Manage project activities, including testing, training, and deployment, to ensure successful and timely delivery of SAP-related initiatives
  • Coordinate integration and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the solution meets business requirements across different teams and systems
  • Provide expert-level support for complex operational issues within the SAP environment, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to maintain business continuity
  • Work closely with stakeholders from various departments (e.g., Sales, Finance, IT) to ensure seamless integration across the entire business process and alignment of supply chain strategies with organizational goals and objectives
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and utilize SAP reporting tools and analytics platforms (e.g., Fiori, Power BI) to monitor supply chain performance, track process improvements, and drive data-informed decision‑making
  • Provide custom reporting and data mining to support functional projects throughout the organization
  • Act as the liaison with the global SAP team to support exception-based reporting with Logistics Information System (LIS), Sales Information System (SIS) and Azure Synapse
  • Develop standards for master data and oversee, enforce and support those standards, including taking the lead on any mass updates, changes and configuration in master data
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Management or a related field; Master’s degree preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing, SAP, procurement or supply chain
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and build consensus across stakeholders, sometimes globally
  • Deep understanding of supply chain and production operations, including logistics, inventory management, and manufacturing processes
  • Extensive experience in SAP, with specific knowledge in modules such as Materials Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), Warehouse Management (WM), or Supply Chain Management (SCM). Experience in customization is a plus
Physical Demands

This position requires the ability to work an eight‑hour shift in a dynamic, fast‑paced manufacturing environment. The role involves extended periods of sitting and standing, as well as frequent movement throughout office and production areas to observe processes, gather information, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams. Regular and consistent use of a computer, phone, and other office equipment is required to perform daily job functions effectively. Occasional lifting of materials or office supplies (up to 25 lbs.) may be required. Occasional travel between facilities or to external meetings may also be necessary to support process improvement initiatives, training, and collaboration with other business units.

Work Environment

Manufacturing and warehousing facility for chemical products. Company operates under ISO practices and procedures.

FLSA Status: Salary/Exempt

Schedule: 8:00 a.m.– 4:30 p.m., Monday – Friday

Hours: 40 Hours, Full‑time

Pay Range: To Be Determined (based on experience), plus 10% Target Bonus
