Responsibilities

• SAP Basis administration tasks include installations and upgrades, problem determination and resolution, software patching, support package application, performance tuning, and project sizing.
• Uses analytical skills to evaluate system performance, perform system health checks, and implement tuning improvements.
• Participation in multi‑landscape design solutions, architecture recommendations, and client strategies for continuous improvement.
• Responsible for the design and implementation of the Portal landscape upgrades and patches.
• Work closely with SAP Functional Team Leads to coordinate and ensure complete enhancements to company’s enterprise‑wide SAP ECC and CRM/B (ISU) implementations.
• Technical leadership and participation in technical projects across multiple teams.
• Lead/Consult (60%) on team, project leadership, consulting, or cross‑train peers; manage the SAP support team, develop support processes, plan technical direction, oversee hardware and software life‑cycle, and ensure quality of deliverables.
• Design/Plan (20%) for small projects.
• Implement (10%) by installing and configuring SAP (and related) hardware and software solutions.
• Support (10%) by monitoring, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and remedying SAP (and related) landscape problems and failures.

Qualifications

• Education:
  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent IT discipline (MIS).
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in the same disciplines.
• Licenses / Certifications:
  • Required: N/A
  • Preferred: SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP Solution Manager; SAP Certified Technology Associate – SAP HANA; SAP Certified Technology Associate – System Administration.
• Experience:
  • Required: Minimum of twelve years of work experience related to the Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities of this position, including defining and driving a current and future state architectural BASIS roadmap, HANA Administration, Business Suite on HANA, logical and physical design implementation, and leading SAP landscape implementations or upgrade initiatives.
  • Preferred: Integration experience from an on‑premise ECC solution with SAP HANA Cloud solutions (e.g., SuccessFactors, Ariba, Concur, etc.) and HANA Cloud Integration as middleware.
  • Supervisor Experience: Required – two or more years of experience leading and guiding SAP projects and resources on one or more SAP landscape implementation or upgrade initiatives.
  • Preferred – two or more years of direct supervisory experience with technical resources.
• Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:
  • Strong hands‑on implementation and support experience with the latest releases of SAP ECC, CRM, ISU, BW, and Solution Manager in SQL Server or SAP HANA database environments across multiple clustered on‑premise and/or cloud‑based solutions.
  • Deep knowledge of multi‑system landscape architecture and integration aspects between heterogeneous system technologies, including build and support for ECC, CRM, PI, EP, BW, and HANA.
  • Experience with SAP NetWeaver administration and technical core tasks in Windows environments, including software installation, upgrade, support package application, patches, add‑on installation, workload analysis, etc.
  • Ability to support technical implementations across the SAP system landscape as it evolves (development, test, staging, production) with in‑depth knowledge of SAP technical areas.
  • Capable of establishing design, implementation, monitoring and optimization processes across SAP landscapes and dependent technologies.
  • Ability to work across organization, vendor, and business units, conduct vendor/technology agnostic evaluations.
  • Experience developing application roadmaps for SAP products including Solution Manager and GRC to support business requirements.
  • Deep knowledge of SAP sizing technologies and quick sizer, and ability to translate business data into infrastructure requirements on multiple platforms and OS technologies (including cloud).
  • Understanding of SAP and non‑SAP front‑end, mobile, access (including external), security requirements and tools (load balancers, web dispatcher, SAP GW’s).
  • Experience with SAP Basis troubleshooting across multiple components such as ECC, BW, CRM, XI/PI, Solution Manager, GRC, NWDI, DMS, SuccessFactors, HANA, BOBJ, etc.
  • Experience estimating effort and resources for projects, working with project managers to structure projects.
  • Experience in performance and stress testing for projects, creating and executing load runner scripts.
  • Experience establishing policies, product and operating standards, SLAs, negotiating and managing both in‑sourced and outsourced IT services.
  • Experience building virtual IT teams and driving results.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to transition smoothly between technical and business audiences.
  • Ability to work in ambiguous situations, break down problems, and develop and drive plans for resolution.
