Job summary

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc. (SGA) is seeking an SAP Basis Consultant for a contract assignment in Tampa, FL. You will serve as a senior technical resource for SAP Basis administration and architecture across a complex enterprise SAP landscape.

The role requires 12+ years of hands-on SAP Basis experience with ECC, CRM/IS-U, BW and HANA, plus strong leadership and collaboration across teams in on-premise and cloud environments. On-site engagement in Tampa with competitive contract rates.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of relevant SAP technical experience with hands-on Basis administration and architecture.
• Experience defining and driving SAP Basis architecture roadmaps in a large enterprise.
• Strong experience with ECC, CRM/IS-U, BW and Solution Manager.
• Experience with SAP HANA administration and SAP B Suite on HANA.
• Excellent communication across technical teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior technical resource for SAP Basis administration and architecture across a complex enterprise SAP landscape, including ECC, CRM/IS-U, BW, Solution Manager and related SAP technologies.
• Define and drive current and future-state SAP Basis architecture and technical roadmap, ensuring solutions align with business objectives, scalability, reliability and enterprise tech standards.
• Perform and provide technical leadership for SAP installations, upgrades, migrations, support packs, patching, performance tuning, system health checks and capacity planning.
• Design and support multi-system SAP landscapes across development, test, staging and production environments.
• Provide architecture recommendations for SAP infrastructure across on-premise and cloud-based environments.
• Support SAP HANA administration and Business Suite on HANA environments, including performance, sizing and infrastructure planning.
• Establish and maintain SAP technical standards, templates, governance and procedures.
• Partner with SAP functional, infrastructure, vendors and business stakeholders to coordinate enhancements and major initiatives.
• Translate business requirements into SAP infrastructure, platform and capacity requirements.
• Provide technical leadership on SAP landscape implementations, upgrades and migrations.
• Evaluate emerging SAP technologies and recommend solutions to improve scalability and agility.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior technical resource for SAP Basis administration and architecture across a complex enterprise SAP landscape, including ECC, CRM/IS-U, BW, Solution Manager, Portal and related SAP technologies.
• Help define and drive the current and future-state SAP Basis architecture and technical roadmap, ensuring solutions align with business objectives, scalability, reliability and enterprise technology standards.
• Perform and provide technical leadership for SAP installations, upgrades, migrations, support packages, patching, performance tuning, system health checks and capacity planning.
• Design and support multi-system SAP landscapes across development, test, staging and production environments.
• Provide architecture recommendations for SAP infrastructure across on-premise and cloud-based environments.
• Support SAP HANA administration and Business Suite on HANA environments, including performance, sizing and infrastructure planning.
• Establish and maintain SAP technical standards, solution/design templates, governance processes and operating procedures.

Required Skills

• 12+ years of relevant SAP technical experience with significant hands-on SAP Basis administration and architecture experience.
• Demonstrated experience defining and driving SAP Basis architecture and technology roadmaps within a large enterprise environment.
• Strong hands-on experience supporting SAP ECC, CRM/IS-U, BW and Solution Manager environments.
• Strong experience with SAP HANA administration and Business Suite on HANA.
• Deep knowledge of SAP NetWeaver administration, including installations, upgrades, support packages, patches, fixes, performance analysis and troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of complex, multi-system SAP landscape architecture and integration across heterogeneous technologies.
• Experience designing and supporting SAP environments across on-premise and/or cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with SAP system sizing, capacity planning and translating application/business demand into infrastructure requirements.
• Strong understanding of SAP connectivity and supporting technologies, including load balancers, Web Dispatcher, SAP Gateway and related infrastructure components.
• Proven experience serving in a technical leadership capacity on SAP implementations, major upgrades and/or database migrations.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work across technical teams, functional teams, vendors and business leadership.

Preferred Skills

• Experience integrating on-premise SAP ECC environments with SAP cloud solutions such as SuccessFactors, Ariba and Concur.
• Experience with SAP cloud integration technologies.
• Experience with SAP GRC and developing technical roadmaps for SAP platform products.
• SAP certifications in HANA, Solution Manager and/or SAP System Administration.
• Experience supporting SAP environments within the utility industry.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, Mathematics or a related technical discipline required.
• Master's degree preferred.
