Global Technical Talent, an Inc. 5000 Company, is seeking a SAP Ariba Administrator for a 12-month contract in Oakland, CA. The role focuses on SAP Ariba system administration and user support within Procurement, with on-site presence and remote flexibility.

The ideal candidate will handle Ariba workflows, supplier onboarding, SLP, Supplier Risk and Contract Management, while providing strong customer-facing support. Training for ServiceNow is provided if needed.

Formación

Responsabilidades

• Ariba System Administration: administer SAP Ariba modules, configs, workflows, catalogs, templates and master data.
• Functional Support & Issue Resolution: troubleshoot and resolve procurement system issues and data discrepancies.
• Testing, Enhancements & Change Management: coordinate testing, implement approved improvements and participate in releases.
• Stakeholder Partnership: liaise with Procurement, IT, Accounts Payable, Sourcing and vendors; translate requirements into system solutions.

• Position Type: Contract
• Contract Duration: 12 months
• Pay Rate: $60.00–$70.00 / Hour (USD)

Job Summary

The team provides functional SAP Ariba system support within the Procurement organization and is not an IT-focused role. The position involves supporting procurement users with system navigation, how-to guidance, troubleshooting, workflow management, system administration, and configuration activities. Users submit tickets for Ariba-related issues or requests, which are routed to this team for investigation and resolution. The team also supports new supplier creation requests and the Supplier Risk module, including supplier risk-related processes. The current ticketing system is BMC Remedy, with a transition to ServiceNow underway, but if a candidate does not have experience with ServiceNow, training will be provided. Key areas include Ariba user support, supplier onboarding, Supplier Lifecycle & Performance (SLP), Supplier Risk, and Contract Management.

The ideal candidate is someone who is strong in SAP Ariba, comfortable with system administration and workflow management, and has solid customer-facing experience providing support to business users and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

Ariba System Administration

• Administer and maintain SAP Ariba modules, configurations, workflows, catalogs, templates, and master data.
• Manage approval workflows, routing rules, and system configurations.
• Create, update, and maintain contract templates, forms, conditions, and questionnaires.
• Support supplier enablement activities and Ariba Network integrations.
• Maintain taxonomy structures, commodity codes, and classification data.
• Monitor and resolve system interface and batch processing errors.
• Support system upgrades, releases, and configuration changes.

Functional Support & Issue Resolution

• Provide functional support for procurement system issues and complex user inquiries.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system defects, process issues, and data discrepancies.
• Escalate technical issues to IT and vendors when required and track through resolution.
• Analyze recurring issues and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Support incident management and service request fulfillment through established intake processes.

Testing, Enhancements & Change Management

• Coordinate and execute system testing activities, including User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Develop test scripts and document testing results.
• Support implementation of approved enhancements and process improvements.
• Participate in release management, change governance, and deployment activities.
• Partner with IT and business stakeholders to define functional requirements and validate solutions.

Stakeholder Partnership

• Serve as a liaison between Procurement, IT, Accounts Payable, Strategic Sourcing, TPRM, and external vendors.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into system solutions.
• Provide recommendations for process standardization, automation, and operational efficiency.
• Support strategic initiatives and digital transformation efforts impacting procurement systems.

Required Experience

• 3–8 years of experience is ideal

• Comfortable with system configuration activities

• Experience with BMC Remedy or ServiceNow (training provided for ServiceNow if not already experienced)

Preferred Skills

• Power Platform and data management experience (a plus)
• SAP S/4HANA experience
• Fieldglass experience

Important Notes

• Open to non-local candidates; however, the hiring manager prefers local candidates.
• If local, there may be occasional in-person meetings, but these would be infrequent.
• A client laptop will be provided to candidates who are local or within the service territory. Candidates outside the service territory will need to use their own device or a vendor-provided device; any other tools must be provided by the vendor.
• With prior manager approval, candidates may expense a set amount for phone/internet reimbursement.
• Immediate start preferred — shortlisting begins 10/22.
