You will design, configure, implement, enhance and support SAP APO solutions to optimize product availability and sales order confirmations. Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of SAP experience with strong hands-on expertise in SAP APO gATP and BOP.
• Strong experience configuring and supporting SAP APO Global Available-to-Promise (gATP).
• Hands-on experience with SAP APO Backorder Processing (BOP), including redistribution and inventory allocation.
• Experience integrating SAP ECC and SAP APO using Core Interface (CIF).
• Strong functional knowledge of SAP SD, sales order processing, and confirmation management.
• Experience with ATP checking rules, checking scope, schedule lines, and open quantity management.

Responsabilités

Reports To: Director, Order Management & Logistics Systems

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP APO Functional Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in Global Available-to-Promise (gATP) and Backorder Processing (BOP).

The consultant will be responsible for designing, configuring, implementing, enhancing, and supporting SAP APO solutions, with a primary focus on optimizing product availability, sales order confirmations, inventory allocation, and backorder redistribution processes.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with SAP APO gATP, BOP, SAP ECC integration through CIF, and cross-functional collaboration with SAP SD, ABAP, and integration teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. SAP APO – gATP & Availability Check

• Configure and support SAP APO Global Available-to-Promise (gATP) and product availability check processes.
• Analyze and optimize sales order confirmations and product availability.
• Manage complex order confirmation scenarios involving multiple schedule lines, plants, and product versions.
• Ensure confirmation quantities align with business allocation rules while preserving open order demand.
• Troubleshoot availability check and order confirmation issues.

2. SAP APO – Backorder Processing (BOP)

• Configure and support SAP APO Backorder Processing, including strategies, variants, filters, and priorities.
• Implement and support BOP redistribution and confirmation management.
• Manage redistribution of confirmed quantities across multiple sales orders.
• Analyze donor and recipient order scenarios to ensure appropriate inventory redistribution.
• Monitor BOP execution and resolve confirmation and redistribution issues.

3. SAP ECC – APO Integration (CIF)

• Support Core Interface (CIF) integration between SAP ECC and SAP APO.
• Monitor and troubleshoot master data and transactional data transfers.
• Ensure consistency of sales orders, plant information, product versions, and confirmation quantities across systems.
• Analyze and resolve CIF queue failures and integration issues.
• Support seamless integration of APO confirmations back into SAP ECC.

4. SAP Integration & Technical Coordination

• Work with ASAPIO or similar integration frameworks for SAP and external application integration.
• Define functional requirements for inbound and outbound interfaces.
• Prepare Functional Specifications for custom enhancements and integrations.
• Coordinate with ABAP developers on gATP and BOP enhancements.
• Support functional analysis and debugging of custom developments.
• Ensure proper validation, exception handling, and data reconciliation.

5. Functional Testing & Production Support

• Prepare and execute functional test scenarios and test scripts.
• Support Unit Testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Perform end-to-end testing of availability checks, order confirmations, and BOP redistribution.
• Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Support deployments, cutover activities, and post-go-live support.

6. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Collaborate with SAP SD, ABAP, integration, and business teams.
• Participate in requirements-gathering workshops and functional design discussions.
• Identify opportunities to improve SAP APO availability checks and backorder processing.
• Provide functional guidance to technical teams during development and implementation.
• Maintain functional documentation and support knowledge transfer.
