Job summary

iitjobs, Inc. seeks an experienced SAP APO Functional Consultant with strong hands-on expertise in Global Available-to-Promise (gATP) and Backorder Processing (BOP).

You will design, configure, implement, enhance and support SAP APO solutions to optimize product availability and sales order confirmations. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with SAP APO gATP and BOP, CIF integration to SAP ECC, and cross-functional collaboration with SAP SD, ABAP, and integration teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years of SAP experience with strong hands-on expertise in SAP APO gATP and BOP.
• Strong experience configuring and supporting SAP APO Global Available-to-Promise (gATP).
• Hands-on experience with SAP APO Backorder Processing (BOP), including redistribution and inventory allocation.
• Experience integrating SAP ECC and SAP APO using Core Interface (CIF).
• Strong functional knowledge of SAP SD, sales order processing, and confirmation management.
• Experience with ATP checking rules, checking scope, schedule lines, and open quantity management.
• Experience preparing Functional Specifications and coordinating with ABAP development teams.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Configure and support SAP APO gATP and availability check processes.
• Analyze and optimize sales order confirmations and product availability.
• Manage complex order confirmation scenarios with multiple schedule lines, plants, and product versions.
• Ensure confirmation quantities align with allocation rules while preserving open demand.
• Troubleshoot availability check and order confirmation issues.
• Configure and support SAP APO Backorder Processing, including redistribution and priorities.
• Monitor BOP execution and resolve confirmation and redistribution issues.
• Support CIF integration between SAP ECC and SAP APO and troubleshoot data transfers.
• Work with integration frameworks for inbound/outbound interfaces and prepare functional specs.
• Coordinate with ABAP developers on gATP and BOP enhancements.
• Support functional testing, SIT/UAT, deployments, cutover activities and post-go-live support.
• Collaborate with SAP SD, ABAP, integration, and business teams.
