Job summary

We are seeking a skilled SAP ABAP Developer to design, develop, enhance, and support SAP applications within an S/4HANA environment. This role will focus heavily on ABAP development while also supporting modern SAP technologies such as CDS Views, RAP, OData services, and Clean Core extensibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain SAP solutions using ABAP and Object-Oriented ABAP
• Develop enhancements using BAdIs, user exits, enhancement frameworks, and related SAP extensibility tools
• Build CDS Views, OData services, and RAP-based applications within SAP S/4HANA
• Develop and support interfaces using IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, APIs, and middleware technologies
• Work closely with SAP functional consultants and business stakeholders to convert requirements into technical solutions
• Analyze and optimize ABAP programs for performance in SAP HANA environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across development, testing, and production systems
• Participate in code reviews and ensure development follows SAP standards and Clean Core principles
• Create and maintain technical specifications and development documentation
• Support upgrades, enhancements, integrations, and ongoing SAP application maintenance

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP ABAP development
• Experience with ABAP Objects (ABAP OO), enhancements, BAdIs, user exits, and enhancement frameworks
• Experience developing solutions within SAP S/4HANA
• Knowledge of CDS Views, OData services, and SAP RAP
• Understanding of SAP HANA development and performance optimization
• Familiarity with SAP Clean Core principles and upgrade-safe extensibility
• Experience integrating SAP with internal and external applications
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively with functional consultants, technical teams, and business stakeholders
• U.S. citizenship is required due to potential access to export-controlled information or facilities governed by ITAR/EAR requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP RAP managed and unmanaged business objects
• Experience with SAP Fiori and UI5
• Familiarity with SAP BTP and side-by-side extensibility
• Experience with Web Dynpro for ABAP
• Knowledge of IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, REST APIs, and SAP integration technologies
• Experience in aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or other regulated industries
• Familiarity with SAP modules or processes such as MRP, Project Systems, Plant Maintenance, or manufacturing operations
• SAP ABAP, S/4HANA, or related SAP certifications
