Job summary

Staffmark Group is hiring a Sanitation Worker in Slidell, LA to maintain clean facilities and ensure safe production areas. The role covers breakrooms, bathrooms, offices, and warehouses with daily cleaning and adherence to schedules.

You'll operate with safety in mind, follow master cleaning schedules, and assist production and quality teams to maintain line cleanliness and equipment readiness. The schedule is 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with a pay rate of $17.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily and weekly cleaning of breakroom, bathroom, offices, and common areas.
• Sanitize facilities, equipment, and warehouse areas.
• Clean and sanitize according to production schedules.
• Follow and update the master cleaning schedule; complete tasks promptly.
• Work safely with cleaning chemicals; ensure proper labeling and stock.
• Collaborate with production and quality to complete line clearance.
• Support packer staff to ensure materials are wrapped and equipment is cleaned.
• Ensure sanitation quality and equipment readiness.
• Coordinate with Quality on cleaning and sanitation identified in audits.
• Identify improvement areas to prevent debris and leaks.

Now hiring for a Sanitation Worker

• Location: Slidell, LA
• Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
• Schedule: 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM | Monday - Friday

Responsibilities

• Perform sanitation duties, including daily and weekly cleaning of the breakroom, bathroom, offices, and common area.
• Perform facilities, equipment, and warehouse cleanup and sanitation.
• Clean and sanitize as per production schedules.
• Follow, record, and update the master cleaning schedule and complete tasks promptly.
• Work safely with cleaning chemicals and ensure that they are properly labeled, stocked, and controlled.
• Will be required to work with production and quality to ensure the line clearance process is completed.
• Support packer staff as needed to ensure materials are properly wrapped and equipment is cleaned.
• Responsible for Quality of Sanitation and Equipment readiness.
• Work with Quality on cleaning, stocking, and sanitation of areas identified during Plant Auditing Review.
• Identification of improvement areas and prevention of debris, dust, leaks, etc.

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow direction/instruction.
• Operational knowledge of all production and sanitation equipment.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, crouch, stoop, reach, stretch, step, climb and/or sit frequently or through the duration of shift.
• Ability to load/unload, lift/move equipment which may weigh up to 50 pounds.

Working Conditions

• Dust associated with corrugated boxes.
• Must wear personal protective equipment as required within your facility in the appropriate designated areas.
• The work involves risks or discomforts, e.g., working around moving parts and equipment, which require some safety precautions and/or the use of protective safety equipment.
• Required to wear steel-toe shoes and a safety vest.
