Job summary

Staffmark Group in Stanton, CA is hiring a Sanitation Worker to keep production areas clean and compliant with safety standards. You will sanitize equipment, assist with daily cleaning schedules, and support the production team in maintaining a safe, efficient plant environment. No prior experience is required; training is provided.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing or production training is beneficial.
  • Previous sanitation, janitorial, food production, manufacturing, or warehouse experience is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize production equipment, machinery, work areas, warehouse spaces, and common areas
  • Use pressure hoses and approved cleaning tools to maintain sanitary conditions
  • Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble equipment after production runs
  • Follow daily, weekly, and deep-cleaning schedules
  • Safely handle cleaning chemicals and sanitizers while following safety procedures
  • Complete sanitation logs and cleaning documentation
  • Conduct pre-operational inspections to ensure equipment is production-ready
  • Remove waste, recyclables, and debris from production areas
  • Report equipment issues and safety concerns to supervisors
  • Maintain compliance with cGMP, FDA, OSHA, food safety, and company procedures

Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous manufacturing, assembly, production, warehouse, or industrial experience is preferred.
  • Experience operating production equipment, performing quality inspections, or meeting production goals is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement practices, or workplace safety procedures is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate reliability, adaptability, teamwork, and a strong work ethic are well positioned for success as a Sanitation Worker.
Physical Capabilities
  • Steel-toed shoes are required on production floor
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive production tasks throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift materials, components, or finished products weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to safely operate around production equipment and moving machinery.
  • Ability to maintain productivity while working in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
