Job summary

EMPWR in Oregon seeks a dedicated Sanitation Technician to maintain daily cleanliness of the facility and machinery used in production. You will run the dishwashing system, sanitize equipment, and keep work areas orderly while adhering to allergen awareness, GMP, SQF, HAACP, BBP and Food Defense policies.

Strong English reading and speaking skills are required. You must be able to work in a team, learn new skills, and be available for any shift and weekends if needed.

Responsibilities

• Sanitation of the facility and equipment on a daily basis.
• Clean and sanitize parts and equipment; keep organized by machine.
• Operate dishwashing machine and wash pots, pans, and trays.
• Disassemble manufacturing lines for cleaning.
• Sweep and mop floors; pressure wash equipment as needed.
• Follow SOPs and improve area processes.
• Perform other assigned tasks as needed.

Job description

Sanitation Technicians are responsible for the daily sanitation of the facility and machinery used to produce product.

• FOOD SAFETY – Allergen Awareness

• FOOD SAFETY – Equipment and line cleaning

• Run dishwashing machine.

• Maintain work areas, equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition.

• Washes pots, pans, buckets and trays by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine.

• Disassemble manufacturing lines.

• Clean and sanitize parts and equipment. Keep parts organized by machine.

• Sweep and mop floors.

• Washes and sanitizes equipment.

• Pressure wash equipment using industrial pressure washer.

• Follow and improve area processes.

• Understand and follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that pertain to your area.

• Other tasks as assigned.
