Job summary

Alpha Baking Company, Inc. is looking for a dedicated sanitation associate to keep the production lines and plant environment clean to meet safety standards. You will clean ovens, mixers, bins and floors, and perform routine housekeeping across the facility.

The role requires ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for long shifts, and work weekends or overtime as assigned. This entry-level position offers on-the-job training and a path to safe, quality production.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Key Result Areas:

This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing production equipment and the plant environment. The successful candidate will only use safe methods and practices.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of sanitation master schedule
• Clean and sanitize production line operating equipment (ovens, mixers, etc.)
• Clean and sanitize baking equipment including bins, trays, etc.
• Operate floor scrubber to clean concrete flooring
• Sweep and mop work areas
• Perform housekeeping duties including, restrooms, lunchroom, offices, conference room, etc.
• Discard all corrugated, inedible food and other packing material

Other Duties And Responsibilities:

• Knowledge of pest control
• Operate a trash compactor
• Read a weight scale
• Operate a baler
• Knowledge of production line operating equipment
• Knowledge of equipment assembly
• Knowledge of chemicals, chemical color coding system and chemical handling
• Knowledge of how to read MSDS
• Work weekends or overtime as assigned
• Commit to a continuous improvement work team environment.
• Other duties and/or projects assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Be able to lift / push 50; more than 50lbs will require two people.

Able to work on feet for the entire shift.
