Job summary

J&J Snack Foods is seeking a Sanitation Associate to support daily cleaning of the plant area and ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards. The role requires following established procedures and using hand and power tools for mechanical tasks.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, with up to one month of related experience or training. A willingness to work closely with QA and janitorial staff is essential for maintaining a clean, compliant production environment.

  • Operate equipment using panel views.
  • Maintain required logs and assist janitorial staff as directed.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position assists in the daily sanitation clean-up ofentireplant area. This position must also demonstrateabilityto utilize time productively and efficiently.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Follows outlined duties in areas assigned for the plant sanitation to includepainting, andscraping.
  • Follows sanitation procedures as assigned during downtime clean-ups.
  • Tasks assigned during special clean-ups.
  • Accomplishes mechanical tasks using a widevarietyhand and power tools.
  • Accomplishes other related work as required.
  • Complies with all safety regulations and follows safe methods in sanitation and chemical usages.
  • Reports all accidents/injuries and unsafe conditions to the QA Manager or Supervisor.
  • Maintains any logs as required.
  • Assist janitorial staff as directed.
  • Use Panel views to operate equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Must be knowledgeable in GMPs’, HACCP, SOP’s, sanitation practices, & Product Trace & Recovery pertaining to the food industry
  • Personal hygiene must meet company and government sanitation requirements. Abide by safety rules as outlined in company policies and procedures.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usuallymoderate
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
