Salary Range: $18.50 To $18.50 Hourly
1. Detailed sanitation and up-keep of the facility, ensuring that all processing equipment is properly cleaned and sanitized to established standards.
2. Maintain facility and surrounding area in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and recognized Food Safety Standards.
3. Communicate with production management to determine cleaning priorities.
4. Complete all necessary paperwork and reports as needed.
5. Assist supervisor or Quality Tech or others with safety, training and quality audits related to sanitation.
6. Removal of all trash and product/soil from plant, cleaning of floors, walls and ceilings.
7. Some janitorial work in restrooms and offices as needed.
8. Follow all Sanitation equipment, chemical and tool guidelines. Understand and correctly use chemicals safely and efficiently.
9. Reports food safety and quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.
10. Maintains a safe and clean environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
11. Promotes teamwork and effective relations among all contacts by setting positive examples.
12. Responsible for working safely and maintaining a safe work environment: attends required training, identifies and reports hazards; wears required PPE for position; and is accountable for self as well as co-worker safety.
13. Is familiar with and complies with SQF Food Safety standards and ensures all product produced meets assigned quality standards.
